You are absolutely right, quite observant. I had written this story several years back, probably in 2003 or 2004, for my other blog in Blogger, i just pasted the same here. My language and writing has evolved( dont know for good or bad, you tell me) ever since, and surprisingly you have noticed that. Thanks for reading the story, hope you lked.

PAV, I saw your logic and your pointing towards the meaning. You were simply fabulous! You changed the whole game!
Writers some times ‘use’ issues just to gather some popular support. This is unethical for some others. I support your view too on the issue, but don’t like glamorising the pub culture.
This is not said to increase any truffle. I am just expressing myself. Great going PAV! All the best!

Yes, your point taken. I am entitled to my point too. Hope we can leave it here.

…….It need not be a long holiday in govt service, as i mentioned …but that was not meant to be take literally.
And also all govt offices and employees need not be that way….and neither in private………..so take it easy…..have a great new year ahead and hope it brings loads of happiness, prosperity and peace in your life..:)

Thanks PAV, for the comment…..Snobbery or not, those i my views and the views are based on certain experiences. I dont claim to be always right and in several cases iam also wrong…
But i stand by my comment on the differences between an Indian Govt. employee and his counterpart in private( i mention as newer generation) …..I have my fathers career( my dad worked for 25 years in the army and rest around 15 years with shipping corporation) and my own work experience as example. I have seen the work culture differences and the attitude towards work of employees in Civil stations, registrar offices, banks( which has changed a bit with competition) etc and thus come to that conclusion….
We work for 12-14 hours a day, 6 days a week and its rare people get vacations and that too after much struggle.
Agreed, there is differences in earnings and remunerations , but the work culture and attitude is certainly different.

Thanks PAV, retirement in an old fashioned way and sense meant the D-day for most of the people..i think thats a stereotypical way of thinking and that thought was encouraged by the earlier generation of government employees or ‘Babus ‘.For them working life was similar to a long holiday with no worries and tensions , and monthly earnings( Govt. depositing monthly on to their bank account)…
But for newer generation working means a lot of struggle and hard work, lots of stress and competition and its certain: one cant just go on and on with this. I would like some time to myself ,as they say :to “smell the roses” and enjoy the splendor of life……
