Nostalgia

yesterday as usual  i was njoyin my lonliless by readin blogs.suddenly theres a cold breeze makin a hummimg sound  giving me  the much needed company . i take a break frm my readin to njoy nature.i slide the curtain blinds n see its even drizzling .rain has always amused me .i goto the balcony to have a good view.overlookin frm the balcony of r home r beautiful mountains.the rhythm of the rain drops is makin the atmosphere even more wonderful.everythin so serene …………life cant b more beautiful.

it was gettin colder so i was forced to go inside. nw i switch on the tv n as i browse thru the channels  somethin catches my attention. somethin which i had heard only in the fairy tales - the mermaid .described as the mythical sea creature in stories.

its in peru that a woman gives birth to a child resembling a mermaid.i couldnt bleive wat i was seeing.the baby had her legs fused till the ankles with her feet splayed. a very rare congenital defect called sirenomelia.

the emotions her parents were goin thru were so touching. in her father’s (ricardo)words - when i 1st looked at my baby she looked so sweet . i promised her i m gonna do anything to save her.

ricardo’s family even taunted them that the baby was a curse.but to ricardo n his wife sarah their baby (milagros cerron)was pure gold.n they had to save her.

it was so tormenting to see the media covering the issue so ruthlessly ignorin the feeling of her parents. the operation to seperate her legs was shown live. thats fine but can u bleive they were even interveiwin the doctor in the operatin theartre.i wonder hw he allowed them inside. an even more ugly sight was the make up man doin the make up 4 the doctor after the operation 4 the interview. hw life has bcome a play.

cerron regains consciosness but her survival is still doubtful. the most touchin momemt  4 me was the when cerron smiles at ricardo when he cheers her.far frm the worldly worries fighting hard to survive each breath  yet so pleasing , so energetic .

she still needs other sugeries for her digestive , urinary n genital problems.she is two yrs old nw n even celebrated her bday . as she blows the candle she shows the same enthusiam like any other normal kid.

she truely is a survivor to me .this is real life n cerron has taught me that life isnt so beautiful 4 everyone  but still has to b cherished….
