Diary ke un panno se…..
From the 53 pages of my SP, i would like to share with you Pg. No. 12/ 13 which contains a short note of ” 10 RITUALS OF RADIANT LIVING” from the book “The monk who sold his Ferrari” by Robin Sharma.
It goes like this….
- Spend some time in a silent beautiful place.
- Deep breathing
- Healthy eating
- Acquire knowledge ‘always’
- Personal retrospection ['think' about your acts]
- Early awakening [10 min. before and after sleep is most important, laugh, smile looking at the mirror] (take my words, this one works)
- Listen music
- Mantra chanting [builds good self image]
- Build your character [constantly try to be the best you can]
- Live simply [ golden rule, indeed ]
Somethings are ’the only that matters’ sometimes, somethings are ‘only a matter’ sometimes.

The first cup of tea…..

And the burning bin………
I was in 2nd standard and it was the birthday of my mom.
Just a few days back , while having the customary recess time chat with my new friend I realized that now I am ‘big girl’ and responsible enough to offer my mother with a ‘morning tea’ as my friend herself claimed to do the same. However, the perfect filmy scene that I visualized : of me surprising my mother with a cup of tea and see her gladly smiling while she wakes up from her bed, was almost impossible. Firstly , because it was too early for me to wake up before she does and secondly her undeclared vow of eating /drinking anything only after offering her daily prayers.
So , the smart girl in me chose this day to be the most apt for unveiling the surprise.
The Kitchen was all set — I was ready : after recollecting the sequence in which tea powder, sugar, milk was to be added to the boiling water — waiting impatiently till mother leaves to take her bath.
Finally, the moment arrived and I plunged on my venture.
Water boiled – 2teaspoon powder- 4 spoon sugar – and milk…………all went well with my experience of making the 1st cup of tea…….. TILL HERE.
“Hurry spoils the curry” goes the idiom…. In my case, though it didn’t spoil my TEA but definitely created a mess out of my surprise plan. I took a cloth and carefully tried to pour it through the sieve and was shocked to notice that in this process the cloth had caught flame.
Though my teachers never realized this but I was a sincere student and brought well into my practice the good manners they taught us. However , it was this obedient nature of mine which prompted me to throw away the waste cloth (burning) into dust bin (plastic) and thus accidently discovered that plastic was an inflammable material much before I learned this in school.
Coming back to my plan, indeed my mom was surprised rather shocked , to be precise, but the contributing factor to this reaction of hers was not the cup of tea, but the DUST BIN ….on fire….!!
confused? look back

Look back at the Start……….
When End seems blurred……….
” One Word Conversation”
Vishnu, her savior, as he accompanied her on all those scary evenings when she had to climb up the dark staircase in the evening all by herself….
Vishnu, the one who helped her burst the water baloon on his own bald head………juz to make her feel delighted that she had managed to drench him with colourful water on the ‘holi’ day
They know each other from the last 24 years….
For few years they met twice daily , in the afternoon when she went to school….and in the evening , while coming back home.
They always had a strange conversation which otherwise , seemed to be just a gesture and it was never beyond that ‘one’ word.
Today, she met him once again…….
Vishnu, the nepali watchman, has grown old but still walks in his unique ‘ ever in hurry’ style.
Once again they had their strange but special ‘one word conversation’
As always, walking quickly towards her, in nepali accent and a high pitch tone, he called her name….
“lochamee”
and only waiting to receive in return, “a childish smile”
lOOking good naa!!
