Once When The
again within a month the United Forum of Bank Unions have decided to go
on a Two day strike on the 24th and 25th of this month. This is totally
unwarranted.
millions of our countrymen are unemployed, these Bank employees who are
enjoying all sorts of benefits are crying wolf. The Union leaders who
seldom work and who are living like parasites are the responsible lot
for the frequent strikes in the Banking sector. None of the Union
leaders either in the Officer category or in the Workmen category work.
They only instigate their members not to work. They seldom get any
transfer and they rarely change their seat except when their chair
breaks.
Government must immediately come down heavily on the Union leaders. A
few are taking the masses to ransom. Individually none of the employee
prefers to go on strike. This can be enquired from the employees
themselves. As such the Government must sack all the Union leaders who
are behind this strike call, enmasse without any fear. These Union
leaders are not fighting for any just cause. They just want to embarass
and blackmail the Government. If they want they could take up so many
other welfare measures which are due to their employees. One such thing
is the Pension coverage. Only 50% of their employees are covered under
the Pension scheme and the remaining are covered under the PF scheme.
Now that the remaining employees also want to be covered under this
scheme, but for reasons best known to the Union leaders they have not
at all taken up such issues.Inorder to take the wind out of the Union
leaders’s sails, the Government must unilateraly give another pension
option to the Bank employees and solicit the support of the suffocating
and choked Bank employees.

yeah, i too heard there is a bank strike…yeah, theres no need for strikes…”when one is out of work, one wants work, when one gets secure in work, he exploits the one who gave work, with so many unemployed, a VRS is a good option for many! there must be a pink slip option in every sector of industry/business/ trade/ profession in India!”
