Love story sad

February 28, 2007 By: meena sundar Category: Stories

It is about a love story, which costs her life.

This girl is from a north Indian family, very beautiful and a good girl. Her looks gained a good reputation among the boys. Later she fell for a boy and they fell in love without their parent's knowledge. Somehow, their parent's found about it and scolded her, b'coz he was not up to their standard and that he was a south Indian

Parents tried to get her married to someone in their own community the marriage got fixed, and girl was always locked in her room she was guarded. He tried to get to her through her friends but it did not work the way he thought it would .

One day when the parents went to purchase the wedding dress for her, they left her in her room, and they locked the main door. Something prompted her to do this she set herself ablaze and she locked the door inside, b'coz she did not want anyone to open the door to help her.

I don't want to write the agonies in detail friends. The neighbour tried to break the door but she had 70 percent burn and she died immediately. She was only 18yrs old.

a) I do not understand one thing, what the parents gained from this.

They vacated the home after one month and her mother was not well after her daughter's demise .

b) About that girl, if she has the guts to love someone then she should also have the guts to stand in her points.

c) Why can't parents be more open about their views? At least they should have given her sometime to get back to normal. The immediate marriage fixation let her to this situation.

d) Why is it in our society love marriage is not acceptable?

e) parents have all the rights to get angry, but they also have to enquire about the whereabouts about their daughter's love man and then decide whether he is suitable for their daughter or not. (There are many gals and boys say that they are in love, but sorry to say this at a certain age it is only physical attraction)

f) Even to say "love" needs age age factor is very very important.

g) Money, caste and religion plays many roles in the love marriage.

h) Even parents can turn the love marriage into an arranged marriage if they accept it. It is not easy I know.  However, it creates a well healthy startup with them .

I) most of the love marriages fail, b'coz of lack of understanding and the lack of support from the family. But we can stop that if we arrange love marriage by parents approval. (Others have some other opinions it is my opinion friends no offence). Even nowadays-arranged marriages also fail simple reason expecting everything in a package

P.S.- If I written anything-wrong pl, forgive me friends . I do not understand the younger generation and definitely do not understand the elders. Why the generation gap? We can treat them equally elder or younger open talk could be the solution to fill the gaps . Am I right or wrong friends?????

Love marriage still a stigma !?

Heroine of my story married a Christian .after a prolonged battle with her father she won, but she was literally cut off from the family for some time. When she was in college, she fell in love with a Christian boy. When her father came to know about this, he sends her to his brother's house and she continued to do her PG there. After she finished she went back because the boy's father was diagnosed with liver cancer, so he wanted his son's marriage immediately. He had already met her and he liked her very much. Why not? she is a natural beauty in the family!

The father of the boy was a lecturer in a college and they were all well to do so they planned to meet the father of the girl with his colleagues. He came to meet him but the girl's father went away saying nothing to them in sheer anger. Many times, he sent his friends to meet the girl's father but he firmly said he could not let her daughter marry that boy. (Girl's family upper caste and pure vegetarian) He started looking for alliance for that girl but she refused to marry. After sometime, the boy's father felt very ill and he requested the doc, who is a friend of that girl's father to talk to him but he never came down. When the matter came to his brother's daughter, she asked her cousin and she finds out her cousin was very firm in her decisions. Therefore, she conveyed the msg to chacha. However, he refused to give up he threatened her daughter that the whole family will commit suicide and she said I will die with you but I will not marry anyone.

Then her cousin sis's intervention makes everything work out well. They got married; her parents just came to the register office and signed and went away without another glance.  They never attend the marriage party, which the groom's parents had arranged , after the marriage she went to her in-laws home. They all were very nice ppl. She learned how to cook non-veg.Her mother-in-law was a gem. She treated her like her own daughter. They took good care of her. Her family members never tried to contact her for nearly six months, and the father of the daughter never stepped out of his home, out of shame, because he believed nobody would respect him if they knew his daughter was married to a Christian. After sometime her father-in-law died, within four months her mother-in-law also died of chronic diabetics. Then again, her cousin came to visit her, this time seeing them made her realize how lonely they were, they had only one younger bro, who was also in college and a pet dog . Completely alone in their two story building only surrounded by trees.

She went to see her chacha and told him all about it, and said to him only one thing; "we can replace anything in this world chacha, but we cannot replace parents" they lost their parents so please take care of them, don't be angry with them. These simple words did lot of miracle in that family. He went to visit his son-in-law and everything went well. Now, they are staying with this son-in-law because they both are working in IT companies so they cannot take care of their only daughter, who is two years old.

This is a real story friends. What I admired about these characters are,

1) That girl never eloped with him, she firmly told her father repeatedly "I'll marry him with your permission only", and she achieved that .

2) The boy's parents took their full effort to convince the girl's parents.

3) Main character chacha, he was so adamant but when he heard his son-in-law's parents died and they were all alone . He never blinked an eye; he went straight to their home and helped them out. Now he is the father figure for his son-in-law, and he calls him papa.

4) The boy treats his, 'in-laws like his own parents, never once he grunted about their behavior over that six-month period, when they didn't come to see them.

5) Thanks to that cousin, whose timely intervention did the miracle in the family.

6) Until now, they both did not change their religion. Moreover, both are happy.
