Why Turkey recalibrated its Libya stance

Turkey continues to ride a high horse on intervention in Libya, but in the past week has been compelled to rethink its stance, nudged by Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud bin Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz. Ankara has begun to rationalize that a lead role for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization would give Turkey greater say in ensuring UN resolution 1973 is implemented to the letter.
