SIMPLE DRUGS IN THE EYES CAN MAKE YOU BLIND

Allergic conjunctivitis is a very common disease , specially in children. The condition is known as SPRING CATARRAH.

The commonest & very effective drugs used belong to steroid ( Cortisone ) group. Quite often, a specialist may prescribe this drug for 5-15 days but the patient goes on using this drug without consulting the doctor. The drug affects the outflow of fluid from inside the eye, thereby , gradually increasing the intraocular pressure, resulting in GLAUCOMA, which can cause the eye totally blind.

Steroids drops if used for 2-4 months, can also cause CATARACT even in young children.

BEWARE OF STEROID DROPS & AVOID SELF OR CHEMIST ADVISED MEDICATION.
