    u ve got a point…n i have to agree that hockey wudnt have generated the same kind of excitement…..but is tht enough reason to ignore it completely….???they shud have publicised it more …..
    but whatever it is the point is cricket has overshadowed other sports including the national sport…..n all this has happened bcoz of the kind of money which is thrown into it….thts the reason any kid in india dreamz to be a cricketer and not a sportsman….
    i ll tell u one eg.yuvraj singh in his childhood was a superb skater….but his father a cricketer himself forced him into cricket bcoz he wasnt sure of a bright future for his son in skating…n he knew cricket meant easy money….
