There is no denying the fact that Hindi films have become much much better. You
watch Ghajini, Jaane Tu Ya Janne Na, or Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, and you will see
an improvement in quality.
However, I feel that you should not be contended with Hindi movies only. You
should also take some time out to watch Hollywood movies (Please note that I do
not mean to say
Hindi). To start with, you can watch one
English movies are entirely different. Here, a fat old guy can play the major
role in the film. Most of the
are action movies. The movie will end but you might not get to hear a single
song. Of course, there could be some background score.
Watching an English/Hollywood movie opens up the world for you. You get to know
what is happening in other countries of the world. You get to know their
culture and their good or bad etiquettes. If you have just started, you may
face difficulty in understanding English but with time you will overcome this
hurdle and really enjoy the movie. The kind of jokes that foreigners crack are
very much different from those cracked by Indian comedians. Most of the times,
they will act like dumb while cracking a jock.
To add to the above,

minutes or so. Initially, you would like to scream and shout. Gradually, your

man..u have written something very true..i have seen lot of hollywood movies ( in fact larger in number than hindi movies)..hollywood movie is not all about action. in fact in our country they are projected as action movies..see the typical releases in indian theaters..spiderman, van helsing and bond movies…but apart that there are lot of english movies which are dramas and their level is quite outstanding in every aspect,that can be story, screenplay etc..for example..forrest gump..
a good number of hollywood movies have much more to see and understand about life which is almost absent from our big movies…we need to learn from them because they are leading in ideas in this field too…
