Fall of the Champion

29th Oct was a sad sunday.I don’t refer to the Indian cricket team’s loss to Australia which any way was  a foregone conclusion. It was the Fall of Valentino Rossi on the 5th lap of the final race at Valencia which ultimately released the grip he had on moto Gp.Had Rossi won he would have been the only moto Gp champion in the history since  from next year it will be the 800 cc race.
Coming with a lead of 8 Points over Hayden (Who Became the new Champion) The world champion Known fondly as “The Doctor” was expected to seal the championship.I thought the bad Luck which was haunting him throughout the year had been over come when he took the pole.It was horiffic to see the Doctor starting badly from the pole possition and running seventh .In the fifthlap all was over as his camel Yamaha lost its Front and Crashed. However he got up and continued the race with determination . It was a pathetic to see him alone as the last man but finally he managed to finish. 13th.Had he a better Bike like Honda or ducati he would have been able to win inspite of the crash.
Its time for Rossi to firmly tell yamaha to come up with a Good Bike or look for teams with better machines.May be Ducati will be apprpriate .It could be an all Italian team that can create many new records in Bike racing.

lightest car on the grid

The exchange between brundle and kimi on the starting grid in Brazil sent me laughing for days. Here it is for those who missed.
”Martin Brundle was interviewing Kimi for ITV
MB you were the only driver to miss the pele’s presentation of Golden Trophy to Schumi.
Kimi Yeah
MB Sarcastically ‘Do you think you will be able to get over It”
Kimi Hey Iwas having a Sh*t
MB;Thanks for that MB recoiled .Atleast you will have a nice light car on the grid.”
ITV were inundated with complaints  from viewers on the live feed

The Legend Bids Good bye!

The Brazilian grand Prix is over and it probably (unless he has different ideas)was the last time we saw Michael Schumacher on the circuit. What a race it was! After a typical schumi move to 6th from the tenth on the grid he had to go in with a flat tire and was down a lap.The legend demonstrated what is F1 driving. He moved being one lap down to finish fourth. But for the skill of Kimi who managed to hold him for two laps in the straights with a inferior car and also the yellow flag in the overtaking zone due to Heidfield’s Crash we could have seen him on the podium and would have been a grand finale to a wonderful career. So Renault  won the constructors and Alonso retained his Championship Title.
We are waiting to see Kimi in the red car to break all track records. What he has been lacking is a reliable car. Most of his races in the last two seasons ended before halfway due to engine failures.
While I have always been an admirer of Schumi as a human being and as adriver I aalso feel hecould have avoided some of those controversial acts marring his reputation.Never the less he is a True Champion and has a permnent place in the hall of Fame In F1.His records are likely to stand for long time to come.

Can’t be bothered

I came across the following and I thought I should share this with everyone.I have tried my best to be as close to the original.
“Every day we read of human right violations ,Police Brutalities,Wrong Indictments, and many terrible things our news papers scream out and what do we do?
We turn to  comic strip  and grin, giggle forgetting in a moment stuff that dose’nt concern us.What does it matter as to what happens to The Thais  and their freedom,so what if Iraquis are dying and if Bullies rule the world as long as they leave me alone, who’s bothered?
For such as you a short story
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see a farmer and his wife open a package. He was devastated to discover  it was amouse trap.Retreating to the farm yard mouse proclaimed the warning there is a mouse trap in the house. The Chicken raised its head and said This is a grave concern to you but not to me.Cannot be bothered by that. The mouse turned to the pig who sympathized but and said he cannot do anything but pray .The mouse looked at the cow which responded Iam sorry for you but its no skin off my nose. The mouse returned to the house dejected to face the Mouse trap alone. That night they heard the sound of the trap and farmer’s wife rushed tosee waht it was.In the darkness she did not see  it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer’s wife who was rushed to the hospital She returned home with a high fever and the Doctor prescribed fresh chicken soup for diet.So the farmer kills the chicken the main ingredient. His wife’s sickness continued and his friends and neighbours came to sit with her.To feed them he butchered the Pig.Finally the farmer’s wifedied and many people came for the Funeral. The Cow was slaughtered toprovide enough meat for all of them. The mouse watched all this with sadness from hiscrack in the wall.
So next time if some one is facing a problemand think it does not concern you, rememberwhen  one of us is threatned we are all at risk.We are all involved in this journey called life and keep an eye for one another and see that mouse traps in the shape of nuclear bombs,Famines, Floods, Psunami are thrown outSo get Involved and start being bothered by what’s happening around…!”

Moto Gp /F1/Cricket

Of late I find motoGp is more exciting  and the  race at Estoril strengthned  my belief. What a race it turned out to be.World champion Valentino Rossi missing the first place on the podium by 2/1000of second but all the same moving into the lead in the championship. Both F1 and Motogp championship is going to be decided in the last race. Rossi appears to to have the advantage .It was  tragic to see the kentucky kid Nicky crashing out after collision with his own teammate.
In case of F1 Alonsa appears to have a great advantage. unless something happens and he does not finish within the top 8 he is as good a winner.Alonsa will do well to remember what happened to Damon Hill and should keep away safely from the Ferraris.
Finally it was heartening to see India record their win in the Champion’s Trophy but as ushual made a heavy weather of Reaching the target .A target of 126 with a team Boasting of a batting strength should have been reached with with the loss of 1or 2 wickets. It is also amusing  to hear some people stating that if the target was around 170 India would have lost.I don’t agree. In those conditions They would have batted more carefully and would have won anyway.
