Yesterday Today & Tomorrow

There are two days in every week we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.
One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.

Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control. All the money in the
world cannot bring back yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we
performed. Nor can we erase a single word we”ve said - yesterday is
gone.

The other day we shouldn”t worry about is tomorrow, with its
impossible. Tomorrow is beyond our control. Tomorrow”s sun will rise
either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds but it will rise. And
until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day - today. Any person can fight the battles
of just one day. It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and
tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad - it is
the remorse of bitterness for something that happened yesterday, and
the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

you are true beyond doubts. no one should live in the past for that it has gone and must have coneyed some lessons to be followed in the future similarly no one can predict the future it will depend on the actions of today and therefore it is today which is most important.

Bhagavath gita says ,”Don”t lament on the Past and weep over the corpses. They are meant to be felled.
Just do your duty.Don”t worry about the results, it’’s my domain (God’’s).”
Your post reminds me of that.
In my view past is experience, we should retain the essence of our experiences to enable us to prevent similar mistakes in future.
Future is hope. We should not only hope for the best in the future but also plan for it. planning is not worrying. Planning is preparation. We should be prepared to meet any evntuality.
Present is the truth. We should live each moment whole heartedly.
A thought provoking post. Thank you.

One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.++++DONT FORGET THE YESTERDAY OF - Hard labour, hours of days of learning, struggle with the odds, love from nears and dears, memories of your loved ones, companions of life journey and your many many sucesses and moments of happiness. Every moment of yesterday is very important because it gives you an experiance, a platform where you are today, courage , inspiration , so that you get ready yourself to face the tomorrow in better way. YESTERDAY CAN NEVER BE YOU PAST , IT IS YOU , YOU STANDING ON YOUR YESTERDAY.

Sorry, but I have heard this being said so often and practiced so rarely that I don”t think I believe this credo very much. The only way this happens is when one mind is focused permanently on the unmutable substartum that sustains all, but that is a pretty rare happening in itself. ;)

  33. budhoose kanjoose says

Oh dear, there cannot be a yesterday with out today and a tomorrow without today. It is but natural to worry about today and that will naturally spill over to tomorrow. “Do not worry” is easer said than done
