Sharmishtha: What a Charming name, I enjoyed reading your Blog, If you happen to be in Sunny California Please be my guest, It is so nice to come across a person who is so empathetic. we are living in a society that is devoid of any semblance to humanity, empathy and humility. it is so unfortunate that we live in age where cloning of an adult sheep raised the specter of science outpacing our moral processing power. we hardly have time to ruminate on issues that shape our values, attitudes and relationships. so strange, money respects no borders. the current century looks to conclude with a huge party, a cancan line of irrepressible bankers, technocrats and the impossibly rich nerds dancing on the grave of the business cycle. but where are we heading? all of which begs the question, if we are so rich, how come we are not happy?new technology may be fueling gains in productivity multiplied, but that means many people are working harder than before, especially since their laptops and cell

Hi Sharmishtha,
This is probably the first time that I have ventured into a blog and good that it was yours. I read the piece on Hrishikesh Mukherjee and was delighted to know that there are people on this planet who still think that some of his movies were darn good stuff which reflected the Indian society so correctly. Compared to the trash that the SRK-KJ company churns out every 6 months these days, I still love to curl back and watch the ‘Jijjaji’ caper of Chupke-Chupke the 16th time.
