Thanks for your comments, PGR at my last post.
I didn’t know about the song you called, now I do. Very touching, makes me cry ! Thanks again. The Byrds have sung it too.
I like this so much, the real interaction here on Rediffiland.
Because of you, I read the poems of Nâzım Hikmet Ran. GREAT!
Are we already friends? I will try ;-)

I come and stand at every door
But no one hears my silent tread
I knock and yet remain unseen
For I am dead, for I am dead
I’m only seven although I died
    In Hiroshima long ago
I’m seven now as I was then
When children die they do not grow

My hair was scorched by swirling flame
My eyes grew dim my eyes grew blind
Death came and turned my bones to dust
And that was scattered by the wind
I need no fruit I need no rice
I need no sweets nor even bread
I ask for nothing for myself
For I am dead, for I am dead
All I ask is that for peace
You fight today, you fight today
So that the children of this world
May live and grow and laugh and play
    :-( ……. :-)

pgr.u r correct.with due respect to Ravishankar,i also believe he is a true marketing man who wants realistic comfort by selling spirituality to the riches.
i always argue with my friends as to why this bilonarrie charge money to teach a simple lesson ?not only a nobel..he wants something more.my concents say something else about his body languages..u know that.what to do, if hundreds of us are here to see the other side of a spiritual man, then milions are having blind biased vision about some people.two days back a guru in kerala was sentenced to jail for raping two minor girls.
reason……poor guru did not have enough political supports.

Thanks for the kainiettam and the poo. We had a quiet. The vishu this year was as usual. The wife took me blind fold to the kani and later the kids. Had to take the kids for soccer practice. Came back later for breakfast. We live in one compound, but three different houses, my bro and family, ours and my mom. So had the vishu sadhya. I am the eldest and so I got kainettam only from my ma and mil. I wish you a very prosperous year ahead and happy vishu to the entire family.

    Hi,

I see that you had read Neetha Nair’s post about Goddess Parvati and birth of Lord Ganesha. As we know, Hinduism has lots of symbolism behind each aspect of our mythology. What happened thousands of years ago in a different age, can’t be judged from what we learn in schools now a day.

We can find the symbolism behind the birth of Lord Ganesha here. Do read it in case you have read her piece and have wondered what was the reason behind such a story in our Hindu mythological.
