Hi PGR, thanks for telling me abt teh book “”Ïstanbul” I’ll defintely pick it up and read it. Am still not done with the city Istanbul. Will visit it again…whenever I get the next chance. You should too. Its that amazing city that spans two continents. It has the influence of both Asia and Europe. I liked it very much.
Hi PGR, I didnt get any alert of your latest post, saw that at KBs page. Happens at rediff, some posts come as alerts and others don’t! Lakshmi..what I meant is not about its author which all of us know but I had so far associated it with the great the ‘Purappadu’ in Kathakali and not ‘kathak’. There was btw a person called Njeralathu Ramapothuval which people like me consider as the emperor of Sopana sangeetha. This emanciated singer would sing ‘priye charusheela’ with such an emotional appeal that even Lord Krishan would descend down to hear it…PGR
