The days are not so far where Cricket will be in the same league as hockey in today’s India. Cricket will be losing its charm after players like Sachin, dravid, Ganguly, Laxman, Kumble retire. Can anyone tell me who will be replacing these big guns, India is going thru the same phase as West India after Richards, Haynes, greenidge, Logie, Hooper left.
Well i am surrpised in a country like India we are finding it very diffcult to spot a talent or should i say its the failure of BCCI or Cricket Management to plan for the Successors especially to repalce the names in the current middle order of Team India or we choose to ignore as we are focussed in couting money.
Pathetic Pathetic planning. No vision No mission. how to succeed ? The key thing lacking in Indian Cricketers and Board is Attitude and Focus. They need to prioritize which is important for them. Come on Team India and BCCI please learn from the mistakes before it becomes a TITANIC.
Everybody is focussing on Blame Game, especially I dont understand Coach Greg Chappel. He seems lacking maturity. Seems like a Big complaint box. Do you really believe in the guy whose vision has blurred and attempts to point a finger. I really dought the ethics of this Mighty Aussie. Comeon a aussie never blames somebody in the dark, so Mr Chappel please comeout in the open and tell the Indian Public as what caused the failure and how to eradicate this kind of failure in the future. You might feel that you are being employed by BCCI but remember you are answerable to India.
BCCI please do tell him and you should public his report as entire India should know what caused India failure.

Well Well i am wrong once again and my hopes of India making it to Super 8’s were thrown out of the window by the comfortable victory by Bangladesh against Bermuda.
The day is not far when India becomes like our national Hockey team where they need to play qualifying games to qulaify for the world cup. Pathetic performance from Team India. No words can describe India’s perfromance.
Lets hope atleast a team from Asia will win the world Cup. As far as me is concerned i will be cheering for Bangla Boys and Lankan Boys and would be delighted to have all asian finals.

Every Indian might have had a Sleepless thrusday night . My Take is that SL will defeat India today. But a Miracle happens in the form of Bermuda. Bermuda will defeat Bangladesh………………. Hang on how did i reach this conclusion……………… Bermuda will bat first and will crawl to 160-180 with heavy pain. Bangladesh while batting first seems to be doing well at the start, suddenly rain interuppts the match after 20 Overs when Bangla were 90+ runs short of victory with 6 Wickets on hand and the target is revised using D/L method. Here where the hopes of Indians have started and many televisions were on to watch a Back door entry into Super 8’s.
AFter revising the target, Bangladesh in trying to chase those runs where balls and runs are equal, will mysteriously collapse giving India a second chance in the competition. What a fairytale ? Fabulous. i Hope this happens

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water. At the end of the long walk from the stream to the House, the cracked pot arrived only half full. For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water to his house.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments,perfect for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of it’s own imperfection. And miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you. I have been able to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don’t get full value from your efforts,” the pot said.
The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw. So I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house?
Moral: Each of us has our own unique flaws. We’re all cracked pots. But it’s the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You’ve just got to take each person for what they are, and look for the good in them. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Today i woke up at 7.30 AM and grabbed a cup of coffee and as usual watching Primetime News on Channel News asia, I was actually shocked to read a scrolling headline news on CNA that Bob Woolmer dead. My heartfelt condolences to Bob Woolmers family, friends and Pakistan cricket team. Bob Woolmer will be known as coach who gave the world a complete new synonym for coaching.
He is a creative coach who was a role model to many other coaches in the world. i have followed and read about him and we all have seen his role in moulding South Africa as a International Team. But unfortunately things havent gone well when he was the coach for pakistan. But what can he do ? he has done whatever he can do and i believe its the palyers who didnt perform and he took the blame personally. Man of words and self respect.
My deepest condolences to his wife, family, pakistan and cricket lovers all over the world.

Very Very Slim. India qualifying to Super 8 is dependent on 3 Factors. One on India Itself and other on how worse bangladesh play against Bermuda and how big is the difference of margin of SL Win would be against Bangladesh.
India should defeat Srilanka with better run rate, ie. if India batting first then they should defeat Bermuda with a margin of more than 240 runs. say If india bats second then they should make sure they get Bermuda under 100 runs and score them in lessthan 15 Overs with 10 or 9 wickets on hand. On top of that SL should demolish bangladesh.
The biggest danger is and the biggest favorable thing is Bangladesh’s playing their last match after SL-India match and they would know excatly how they need to play to qulaify for super 8’s. thats the major major danger india has to live with.
So my dear Mr. Dravid i beg you to be Proactive and take some bloody calculated risks to make sure India qualifies for Super 8’s. Dravid is bascially a reactive in taking decisons and worse captain i have ever seen India has.
