” Sex no longer is a taboo amongst today’s teenagers. According to a recent survey, teenagers across urban India are getting into physical relationships, which are dragging them and their partners at health risks. A cross section of the Indians opined that instead of condemning the entire situation, the parents, teachers and everybody concerned should come forward and help children to cope with this rising problem….”

we say sex is beautiful when it is done by two consenting individuals in love….and we say sex is most natural thing to do ………..but we have attached many conditions to it like it should be legal , beyond a certain age , in socially acceptable norms , between two legally married couples belonging to opposite sexes……..why are we concerend when it comes to teenage sex….because sex has many dimensions to it beside the physical activity and mental gratification…….it involves health as it can get u unwanted pregnancy if proper care not taken , several sexual diseases if again proper care and proper hygiene not maintainedand can leave the young ones with serious psyhological scars not required at their future building stage . morally speaking if sex leaves u with guilt it is wrong and takes away ur inner peace , at whatever age u may be.

Sex before marriage, or with more than one partner after marriage, is one thing which I will never accept, no matter how much learned and evolved people start speaking in favor of that…. (Rahul)

It is not a rising problem -it has happened and will continue to happen - however, it is getting the limelight now due to us becoming a more open society. Adults should throw out the yoke of “It is a sin” “No that is wrong”, “My child is innocent” cocept and accept the facts and deal with it through constant dialogues with their children and schools should step in and be more open in bring about sexual awareness and sex education in the class rooms. You have brought up some wonderful topics for discussion. Niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. Take care :))))))))))

No PS?? In any case, I think everyone was mighty surprized when Sigmund Freud first came up with his child sexuality theory and said that majority of people (almost all) experience their first sexual act as children (usually throught ‘’show me yours and I”ll show u mine” games)… In other words, child and teenage sexuality may not necessarily be a ”new” thing! Pata nahi sachchayee kya hai.. Do post your thoughts on it sometime.

When sex in the teens takes over, reasoning takes the back-seat. So, sex-education seems to be one solution apart from parental guidelines.
