Is ‘Peace on Earth’ Possible?

We are seeing that most of the institutions we've put into place to make life better have only made life worse. That includes government and politics, business and commerce, education, and yes, even religion.

Yes, you ar right. But it happens when power concentrates in the hands of the few: be they rulers, presidents, priests, monks, CEOs or whoever. We should look forward to build a system which works automatically, without beign dictated by Few Men… (Rahul)

Sure we have grown a frankenstein monster . Instead if we had nurtured and developed the kid as we should have, we would have had a lovable kid. So the fault is as much ours as the kid we have thrown into this world. What say.

What is good to you is bad to someone else. And we have to live with all… So, it is impossible to satisfy each and everyone. If you want peace, then there are also people who want war. …Anyway, we can definitely make the world a better place, if not fully peaceful…

Peace on earth is possible if we bring down the fences of religion - race - color and bias and elect leaders responsibly. Will this happen? Who knows. I am always reminded of John Lennon’’s “Imagine”

Interesting! I think this entire idea about perfect ”Peace on Earth” is a utopian idea and it is not possible. Perfect peace goes against the very essence of nature. My logic derives from the fact that whenever I take a close look at Human history, I see no single phase when there has been a Perfect Peace in the world. Human history is bloody and violent. The peaceful times where more of region specific phases and did not last too long, ever. In other words, there were never any ‘good old days’. The world is as good or as bad today as it used to be at any point in History.

Peace is a possibility. Remember the words - Self Purification, M K Gandhi’’s simple two words. Begin with the self - macrocosm in microcosm. The change that you bring about in the self reflects around you. The more positive vibrations around you affects others too, in a positive way. To change the whole world change yourself. Hope to see Golden Age very soon.
