How important are softwares in Print media/ Graphic design?

I have heard a saying before many years! “Good knowledge of software can make a good artist, a great artist”. After incarnation of digital media applications, entire print media and graphic design has been revolutionized. One can't achieve perfect look, complete accuracy and attractive approach in the artwork without the computers.

In current industry, there is some of the best software, offering stunning designing features for a graphic designer, as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress and CorelDraw also.

If you are new for this field, then naturally, you might be in dilemma in selecting right computer application for the right job. So, which software is better to do?

Let me explain, Adobe is a biggest software development company for print industry, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PageMaker (adobe has discontinued it), Acrobat Reader/ Professional, PDL, and ATM/OTF fonts also.

These all applications are widely used in European countries, USA, France, England, and Germany etc.
