people to watch indecent scenes on TV channels and owing to this suicides,

The tendency of gradual moral decline is constantly going on the present day
society. Every new event brings more moral dangers than the previous one. The
sharp fall in moral standards is occurring at a faster pace throughout as never
before.

In the present era the incidents of moral decline that are
occurring are so nauseating that they are becoming unimaginable. On side of it
that makes us anxious is that a few people from the society had been prone to
moral weaknesses before but this spiritual pandemic is spreading its circle so
wide that a large number of people are drowned in dirt.

If the pace of
moral degradation and reprehensible events continue, then we can safely declare
that our society will be thoroughly trapped in the muck that is flying around.

In some of the past eras, the moral and social lapses started coming
from Western countries, but nowadays even Eastern countries are also not safe
from it and their social solidarity is about to end. If the ensuing moral plague
is not diked soon, its consequences will be as morally devastating as can be
seen in Western countries.

The steep moral decline will be so
all-embracing that even nudity, perverse sexuality and even homosexuality also
will be not seen to morally reprehensible and as a sin against both man and
society.

It has been observed in the last few decades
that illicit relations between men and women are not considered as sin to them
and have social approval as the people’s conscience does not even reproach it.
But as far as Eastern society goes, some sections of society do consider such
relations nauseous, because their hearts will not accept it.

But what is
surprising to some observers is that such kinds of deviant behaviour that
strikes at the very social fabric of society are now being considered socially
acceptable

Seeing the progress of the various means by which drug abuse,
common among the youth nowadays is seen to be growing from bad to worse.

At the moment, the question arises as to how present and future
generations can be protected from the morass of growing sinful acts that are
spreading everywhere. One important way of protecting people from the flow of
muck everywhere (TV,films, posters, media) there should be move to create a
better spiritual awareness in them since the social consequences of such health
issues as the spread of AIDS, and other sexual diseases can be far-reaching.

There are campaigns being conducted for the health issues regarding aids
only on the amelioration side but without a mass movement of moral rearmament it
will be very difficult to escape the fallout of such illegitimate relations.

The youth are not aware of the pitfalls of being lured by easy money and
spending it on gadgets and sex. Without the moral refinement that comes with
spirituality, religious and moral values man sinks to the level of animals. Only
to the extent that he refines himself internally can he hope to escape the
defilement of human dignity. Besides mental leanings, man’s moral nature also
guides him to the right path if he cares to follow it. But youth are easily
influenced by trends in society and peer pressure. They see others doing so and
they think that this is the right way to behave.

Human beings may
realize through their mental make-up that these things are contrary to the
essential goodness and protection of human dignity. They fail to realize these
things are very harmful not only to individual life but also to social health
owing to lack of inner moral awareness. Religion induces us to be unsettled
about the prevalence of such kind of circumstances, to correct ourselves on the
workings of the conscience and to live pure and clean lives.

Islam as a religion has presented a complete system of life to
prevent the bad deeds and engage in cleansing the social atmosphere and to
protect human honour (by avoiding despicable acts).Islam encourages Muslims to
reco-gnize that running after every desire and passion is extremely dangerous
(for the self and society).

In fact the youth grow and nourish
themselves on thoughts and actions that they have been fed with (and the wrong
moral diet deflects them from their) real purposes.

Nowadays, most
people, (the young and the old) blindly follow their vain desires and are mere
consumers of images in shows and television programmes. They want immediate
success through name and fame and after seeing the affluent lifestyle of others
try to emulate them without and regard for the consequences. They forget the
sufferings of others.

Sexual passions are raised by feelings and the
flow of such concupiscent images (flashed in films and on TV) and being
enraptures by these images that appeal to their baser selves. They for products
and instant sexual gratification though Islam considers such acts as exceedingly
immoral.

The flow of images compel people to watch indecent scenes on TV
channels and owing to this suicides, illicit sex, murder, violence and
kidnappings are being common (what can be called the copy cat syndrome)in
society .

The best way to avoiding this moral filth is that all humans
should be trained in spirituality and inner cleanliness. (They should be taught
the difference between right desires and wrong desires). Only be remembrance of
Allah and remembering (that we will be called to account for our sins) will be
ensured of success both in this life and the hereafter.
