AN INTERVIEW WITH GOD
I dreamt I had an interview with God.
“So you would like to interview me?” God asked.
“If you have the time” I said.
God smiled. “My time is eternity.”
“What questions do you have in mind for me?”
“What surprises you most about humankind?”
God answered…
“That they get bored with childhood,
they rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.”
“That they lose their health to make money…
and then lose their money to restore their health.”
“That by thinking anxiously about the future,
they forget the present,
effectively they live neither in
the present nor in the future.”
“That they live as if they will never die,
and die as though they had never lived.”
God took my hand took in his
and we were silent for a while.
And then I asked…
“As a parent, what are some of the lessons of life
you want your children to learn?”
“To learn they cannot make anyone
love them. All they can do
is let themselves be loved.”
“To learn that it is not good
to compare themselves to others.”
“To learn to forgive
by practicing forgiveness.”
“To learn that it only takes a few seconds
to open profound wounds in those they love,
and it will take many years to heal them.”
“To learn that a rich person
is not one who has the most,
but is one who needs the least.”
“To learn that there are people
who love them dearly,
but simply have not yet learned
how to express or show their feelings.”
“To learn that two people can
look at the same thing
and see it differently.”
“To learn that it is not enough that they
forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”
“Thank you for your time,” I said humbly.
“Is there anything else
you would like your children to know?”
God smiled and said,
“Just know that I am here… always.”

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
The business executive was deep in debt and could see no way out. Creditors were closing in on him. Suppliers were demanding payment. He sat on the park bench, head in hands, wondering if anything could save his company from bankrupcy. Suddenly an old man appeared before him. “I can see that something is troubling you,” he said. After listening to the executive’s woes, the old man said, “I believe I can help you.” He asked the man his name, wrote out a check, and pushed it into his hand saying, “Take this money. Meet me here exactly one year from today, and you can pay me back at that time.”
Then he turned and disappeared as quickly as he had come. The business executive saw in his hand a check for $500,000, signed by John D. Rockefeller, then one of the richest men in the world!
“I can erase my money worries in an instant!” he realized. But instead, the executive decided to put the uncashed check in his safe. Just knowing it was there might give him the strength to work out a way to save his business, he thought. With renewed optimism, he negotiated better deals and extended terms of payment. He closed several big sales. Within a few months, he was out of debt and making money once again.
Exactly one year later, he returned to the park with the uncashed check. At the agreed-upon time, the old man appeared. But just as the executive was about to hand back the check and share his success story, a nurse came running up and grabbed the old man.
“I’m so glad I caught him!” she cried. “I hope he hasn’t been bothering you. He’s always escaping from the hospital and telling people he’s John D. Rockefeller. “
And she led the old man away by the arm.
The astonished executive just stood there, stunned. All year long he’d been wheeling and dealing, buying and selling, convinced he had half a million dollars behind him.
Suddenly, he realized that it wasn’t the money, real or imagined, that had turned his life around. It was his newfound self-confidence that gave him the power to achieve anything he went after. Renew your confidence from within .

He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait.
She: Do you want me to leave?
He: NO! Don’t even think about it.
She: Have you ever cheated on me?
He: NO! Why you even asking?
He: No way! I’m not such kind of person!
Now after the marriage you can read it from bottom to the top !!!!

This is also not original. Just sharing with you kr
For those who are at the cross roads
For those who”ve been there…look back & say “thank you”
For those who “could” come to the cross roads
One day I decided to quit.
I wanted to quit my job, my relationship, and my spirituality
I went to the woods to have one last talk with HIM:THE UNIVERSAL CONSCIOUSNESS
I said, “Can you give me one good reason not to quit”?
His answer surprised me,” Look around”, he said, “Do you see the fern & the bamboo”?
“Yes”, I replied.
“When I planted the fern & the bamboo seeds, I took good care of them, I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the EARTH. It”s brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo.
In the 2nd year, the fern grew even more vibrant & plentiful. And again nothing came from the bamboo seed.”
“In year 3, still nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.”
“It was the same story in year 4 & there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.”
He said, “Then in the 5th year, a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small & insignificant”
“But just 6 months later, the bamboo rose to over 100 Feet tall!!! It had actually spent the previous 5 years growing roots. Those roots made it strong & gave it what is needed to survive.”
“I would not give any of my creations a challenge that it could not handle.” He said to me.
“Did you know that all this time you”ve been struggling, you”ve actually been growing roots?”
“I would not quit on the bamboo & I would not quit on you!” He said.
“The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern & yet they both make the forest beautiful.”
“So stop comparing yourself with others & rise high”.
“How high should I rise?” I asked.
“How high would the bamboo rise?” he asked in return.
I left the forest & brought back this story to share with everyone..

This is not my original. I happened to have received from someone. Liked it and therefore would like to share with you all…
” WAQT NAHI
“
Har khushi Hai Logon Ke Daman Mein,
Par Ek Hansi Ke Liye Waqt Nahi.
Din Raat Daudti Duniya Mein,
Zindagi Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.
Maa Ki Loree Ka Ehsaas To Hai,
Par Maa Ko Maa Kehne Ka Waqt Nahi.
Saare Rishton Ko To Hum Maar Chuke,
Ab Unhe Dafnane Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Saare Naam Mobile Mein Hain,
Par Dosti Ke Lye Waqt Nahi.
Gairon Ki Kya Baat Karen,
Jab Apno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.
Aankhon Me Hai Neend Badee,
Par Sone Ka Waqt Nahi.
Dil Hai Ghamon Se Bhara Hua,
Par Rone Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Paison ki Daud Me Aise Daude,
Ki Thakne ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Paraye Ehsason Ki Kya Kadr Karein,
Jab Apane Sapno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.
Tu Hi Bata E Zindagi,
Iss Zindagi Ka Kya Hoga,
Ki Har Pal Marne Walon Ko,
Jeene Ke Liye Bhi Waqt Nahi…….

(This is my favourite poem. I am posting because I wish to share what I love….)
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don”t deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don”t give way to hating,
And yet don”t look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you”ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build “em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on”;
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds” worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that”s in it,
And - which is more - you”ll be a Man my son!

Under this category I intend to keep sharing my observations/comments on T.V. programmes that I happen to see. Among my favourite programmes are all music-based shows and news-based programmes. As for T.V. soaps the less said the better. Intriguingly everybody denies watching these serials. Whoever I bump into has invariably something critical to say about them. But I am sure these soaps must be getting sizeable viewership or how else one can explain good TRPs that these Saas-Bahu sagas and some absurd family dramas that are telecast everyday? However, I am told that these shows' popularity is on the wane as their TRPs are dropping
However, in the midst of this cunningly crafted chaos or anarchy called serials there are some production houses that deliver what they like and give it their best shot. Hats Off Productions is one of them who have given us serials like Ba Bahu aur Baby,
Khichdi, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, to name just a few. They are among the first to
give us much-needed respite from the done-to-death family sagas that are full
of gorgeously attired but perpetually scheming women and good-for-nothing men. I consider myself lucky and honoured to get an opportunity to work for this group in my
limited capacity.
Two new shows from this House are going to be on air from this week. First, a serial called Remote Control will be telecast today (12 Nov’07) at 10.30 PM on new channel 9X and the other is a soap called Chaldi Da Naam Gaddi to be telecast on Zee from Friday at 9 PM. Given the past track record of this Production House, there is no doubt that these serials will be equally rocking, if not more
If nothing else, they will spare us from the excesses of the run-of-the-mill Saas-Bahu sagas running since The Big Bang
Happy viewing !!

Honestly I was pained to read Shah Rukh Khan”s latest comments he made before he left for London to attend the premier of his film OSO. I am fully aware of the fact that given the height hehas achieved in his life, he can do without advice from lesser mortals like us.But it troubles us to see a man of his stature choosing to stoop a bit low to seekattention or make impact. The fact of the matter is that he does not need any gimmicks to seek attention. He does not need attention, for that matter.
This is the essential difference between Bachchan and SRK. Big B has had such acorrect, albeit carefully cultivated demeanor, that one never expects him tocommit such a gaffe that Shah Rukh has committed. Perhaps he has decided to do
contrary to what Big B does, but this time he has ended up being politically incorrect by saying "Saawariya may be a wonderful film, lekin 17 saal maine
bhi jhak nahin maara.” SRK's staunchest fans may defend him by saying that it was just a publicity ploy, let me tell you that it smacks of bad taste, unbecoming of the
stature of SRK. If you have been there for 17 years, you should be grateful to
your God and thank your stars. And of course in these 17 years you should have learnt how to be discreet. There is no denying that the guy has worked
very hard to reach where he is today. But success never means right to
undermine others. I do realize that SRK likes being mischievous and here also he has tried to play a prank but he has overdone it this time. As though this is not enough the super star is convinced that people will flock to see his film thinking that this guy “itna bol raha hai, dekh hi lete hain.” (This is his reasoning). No, for God's sake, do not think that people (that includes your fans as well) are so gullible as to go to see your
films only because you talk too much. Perhaps they will watch in spite of your
shooting off your mouth a tad too often.
Everyone knows that Khan talks well. He is very articulate, witty, sharp and endowed
with a gift of the gab. But being a good speaker does not give you the right to
talk too much. Rather, good oratory means knowing when not to speak.. I wish
SRK knew it.
Anyway it pains because our hero has chosen to slip from the heights he has so
painstakingly achieved. This has nothing to do with the outcome of his film
OSO. May be it turns out to be the greatest hit or flop of the century. You
never know. His countless fans will certainly ensure that the film does not
fall like their super star. I have also been one of his admirers though I do
believe that he acts himself in all his films. But whatever it is we love to
watch that 'himself' in the film. Every time before setting out to watch his film, I felt apprehensive that I would not like his performance. But admittedly I always ended up liking him every time, be it his performance in Devdas or Chak De.
His performance or his 'acting out himself bit' has a ring of sincerity about it and
I love it.
And that is why it pains me to see him talk like that .I want to see my star in the
sky I do not want to see him live in my neighbour's house. I do not want him to
be like one of us. SRK, you may not like it but you need to learn the art of
discretion from Amitabh Bachchan.
But who knows? May be sanity also grows with ageing.
