President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto once said that we will fight with India for a thousand year. He was hanged to death by President Zia-ul-Haqq. President Zia once boasted that we will give India a thousand wounds to bleed. He perished in a plane crash. But Pakistan's unending hatred for India goes on.

Thankfully our Indian leaders have shown great maturity and in spite of such grave provocations have resisted from making ugly statements about our dear neighbor. On the other hand, generations of Pakistanis have been nurtured and raised on a diet of hate India doctrine. This hate India campaign continued not only on philosophical level but took the form of well organized proxy war against India. Their young men were trained in thousands to infiltrate India and terrorize, but they only kept perishing on the beautiful mountains of Kashmir. But what happened in Mumbai last year shows that the proxy war has now become an open war.

Whatever you sow one day you are going to reap. If you plant a babool tree you can not expect to harvest a crop of juicy mangoes! Now they are having the prospect of getting their cities swarmed by Taliban. And they themselves have, in their parliament enacted a law, and handed over some parts of their country to Taliban's rule.

Adolf Hitler's Nazi party also came in power in Germany legally without any bloodshed. And soon Hitler turned that nation into a military state and a well oiled war machine. Germany of Second World War is a classic example how a people; an entire nation can fall in the hands of the darkest force, the Devil himself, and create havoc in the civilized world. Hitler wanted to take control of the whole world but he just lacked one resource in the fateful days of 1944-45. He did not have the Atom Bomb. While USA managed to invent one. Thanks to Albert Einstein, a Jew born in Germany, who migrated to USA right in time to catalyst The Manhattan Project to make the Atomic bomb. Rest, as you know, is history.

On the other hand if Taliban take control of Pakistan they will have what Hitler did not- An Atom Bomb. My friend, it's not a joke! The threat is real! When the world awoke to fight Hitler it was quite late. He had taken over almost entire Europe. Now is the time to stop Taliban. Tomorrow it may be late.

We may be happy that Pakistan is getting on the wrong side of US interest, and can secretly hope that US will fight Pakistan and we will just watch it live on CNN sitting comfortably in our drawing rooms.  No, the conflict if it happens has the potential to engulf this entire region. And we can not remain immune to it.

Do we need to hate Pakistan? No, never, after all, till yesterday we were part of one family. What if they chose to get separated and erected a wall in the courtyard? We have blood relationship with them. Or khoon ke rishte kabhi tutate nahi!  Their hatred of India is a perverted reflection of their obsession and adoration of India. Actually the partition of India has failed. Look at the map of both the countries. Kashmir is that beautiful ring that continues to keep both countries in tight embrace. The divorce did not work. And they are our neighbors. And aren't we supposed to love our neighbors? And love always is more powerful than hatred. God is love. Therefore Love must be and is omnipotent. While hatred is demonic, therefore it's weak and can be easily defeated. If Pakistan continues to remain in the realm of hatred it will fall apart on its own and India need not have to fire a shot. See how Bhutto and Zia perished. Did we do anything?

 But we can not rush to help them out now. They first must repent and mend their ways. In fact now is the need to make our borders more secure to stop any infiltration of Taliban from their side.

Pakistan has been a bad neighbor. But at this time they do not need our hatred but prayers. May they have sadbuddhi, right wisdom, to live in a civilized world!
