its eid holidays here……one of the very few holidays in this country…..we work relentlessly for months looking forward for two short breaks in a year….for eid….and then comes the big one….our annual vactions….time to pack our bags and be in india …..we breathe the air of our mother land …to celebrate few festivals that we can …..this country looks quite and calm even on eid……. maybe the celebrations are on somewhere….. but we dont see the hustle and bustle associated with our festivals…….they seem to celebrate it somewhere far from eyes of expatriates……. we know these people shop for clothes a few days before coz the markets are full of women ….and everything is a mess during shopping hours of 4.30 pm n beyond…… but who knows what they wear….for us it is just another black n white…… covered head to toe with the same colour all the months year after year…….. where do the beautiful clothes disappear…i wonder…..
so with eid again …we are out into malls looking at things which look rich n expensive or we go out to the cornisch akka beach where kids play with the waves while we sit n watch them …longings to take a dip too remain sealed inside our heart……watch the setting sun ….smile to ourselves and thank our god to let us see this sun again…..holidays over n we are back to routine of all work n no play…….
