Buried in dust & grime

Are my poems

Lifeless & inconspicuous!

The poet in me has been brutally murdered

And so are my words; choked to death

Reminiscence of yester years have all turned sour!

There was a time; they were earnestly appreciated by all

But now you hear them shout from roof-tops

Seeking attention!?!?

Yet another futile attempt, I make today

To search for words;

That long betrayed me!

For a messiah; born during my poetic pursuit

Very virgin, very virile

Lucid in every subtle way!

Floating images, static sights

Defining life in vociferous light

I see my today in the dawn of tomorrow

In deep slumbers of the night!

Tranquil moments; perishing thoughts

Livid memories in placid bouts

I see you coming to my rescue

Before I elapse as unfinished verses!

In the midst of blasting granites

Where tormented bodies lie motionless

In pools of blood

I search for PEACE !

Innocent lives lost,

In the name of religion

In the face of terror;

I search for PEACE !

In this age of modern missiles

I plead for SAFETY

I pray for UNITY

I search for PEACE !

Is it such a rare commodity?

Or is it too heavily priced a possession today?

Beyond overly stretched resilience

And behind solidified tears

I speculate whom I lost it to

'Devastated that I am,

I search for PEACE !

Soul Curry

Thirsty Souls surface every night

From chaotic reminiscence

Shedding mucky clothes of charade

Embarking on alluring delusions

Of finding another soul as deficient as MINE!

I am no different from you

As I await the moment too; every dark night

To discard my robe of façade & unmask my charred demeanor

To be 'One' with your divine SOUL!

So here I am

Waiting for 'You'

To disrobe me, quench my thirst

And set my tormented soul free!

For I see, no 'tomorrow'

In this forbidden land of "uninterrupted" ECSTASY!

As I take an oath, to remain,

Brazen beyond words

Naked beyond nudity

And lustful beyond greed

Only for 'You'

Tonight & every single night to COME!!!

I find her in a nano second…

Every second!

On the middle of the highway of my senses

A century ago!

I met an Earthling, so known to my soul by her intensity

Rational too!

Death was destined, open and routine for me then

She made me sense how such a small flutter of her eye can create waves

As if it's a spiritual continuity from another galaxy

How our screams can mingle with cosmic intensity of our silent souls…

Just her little thought made my death worth though surprisingly secret!

Her senses are the map of my well-planned death row!

No gas, no wheels even, just orchestrated known tune of a full blown poem.

Such persistence, such stamina…

Yet she leaves me void

In spite of million of nautical miles between our hearts.

"Hey, my earthling"

"You think you know it all?"

You say intensity is just chemistry of hormones

You implore me to give up my outbursts

My eruption!

You discomfort me in my severe serenity

Hey earthling. Let me shed my shield… I engulf you

I promise you ‘LUST” that is shameless yet “eternal” for us!!!

Good-Night & Sleep Tight!!!

Crispy white sheets

Satin bed-spreads

Aromatic candles & pot-pourri

Soft music playing alongside!

Blink! The lights go off

I can feel you come closer to my body

Humming the same old tune and

Whispering sweet-nothings into my ears!

My struggle begins once again

To keep you at bay

You over-power me as always

Biting me here, biting me there!

Do I need to beg & plead?

Won't you let me sleep again tonight?

When will you overcome this hunger?

Despite having your heart's fill every night!

I can't handle this, no more

Don't wish to succumb to your demands though

Please let me go, I cry in PAIN!

Knowing fully well that you are not going to let go of me!

Poor me, I am left me with no choice now

But to reach out for the deadly weapon

To see you drop-dead in anguish!

"Silly mosquito" dint I tell you 'Not to mess with me!!!'

Tussle With A Muscle????

Foot or Brain?

Grey matter or tanned reality?

Uprooted or grounded?

Without the foot in place, wonder where the head would land???

Strained tissue or a stress-filled nerve?

A reeling head or a fractured foot?

Wonder if it is easier to carry the acumen of cells than the weight of one's body mass???

But isn't it the little demon sitting up there;

Whose instructions are submissively followed by the inmates of the so called biological system???

So what would you prefer on your platter today?

A pea-sized brain or an elephant's foot???

Indeed, it's a tussle over a muscle,

Or perhaps a scuffle over a muffle

Whatever it is, you can knock them both down,

With just a couple of intoxicating guzzles!!!

Pent up emotions ?

Tear-filled eyes ?

Is this a good time ?

For 'Us' to speak & sort this out ?

Cold stares !

Disconcerting glares !

"Can we talk now?"

"Leave me alone, will you?" .is this what I am going to hear again???

Tensed atmosphere !

A lump in the throat ?

Where is this going to lead ?

"Are we done with each other?"

"Will you get the hell out of here?" isn't this the next one coming from you???

I muster the courage !

Ready for a confrontation ?

Our eyes meet hesitantly; not once but twice !

Going is beginning to get lot tougher now !

'Should I' or 'Will you' 'start'?

You pull me close to you, apologetically;

I find myself in your arms !

Do I hear you whisper into my ears now?

"Baby, I…Hmm .Err ”

Life's full of jig-jaw puzzles !

Who cares anyway?

A little pepped up, a little sullen

A little grumpy, a little nutty

At times smooth; at times bumpy !

Equilateral sometimes; unilateral otherwise

A merry-go-round indeed it is;

Going topsy-turvy all the time !

Hoping to reach the abyss if not the ebb;

Eyes on the horizon, like a fixation

Striving hard, against all odds;

Desperados of a never-ending rat race !

Throw a dice, make a wish

Else find yourself in a fix !

Buck-up! Learn the tricks of the trade;

Or become the clown of 'A' grade !

Sway upwards or dangle downwards

To balance life's trapezium;

During trying times of regression & repression !

Breaking unchallenged laws of ‘Gravity’

To make 'Impossible', close to 'Possible';

And questioning the ‘Unquestioned’

With undying spirit & irrevocable zest;

Only to live life… 'King-size!'

In Love with 'LOVE'

If I were to reveal my teeny-weeny secret to you today;

I hope not, you will label me 'Insane'

But I just can't hush it under the carpet,

Or hide it inside of a closet any longer

'Coz, I am so in love with the 4 letter terminology 'LOVE'!

At the break of dawn, after a little jog & shower;

When I am all set to have my break-fast

I see these 4 letters swimming in my bowl of milk & cereals…

Yelling out to me, 'Have a Great Day Ahead'

Can't you sense, I am so in love with the 4 letter expression 'LOVE'?

If you thought, life for me is a grind

With soaring mercury levels, mounting work-pressures,

stringent deadlines & endless board meetings;

I would say 'Hell Not'

For my 4 letter crony, keeps me company everywhere I go;

From bill-boards to computer screens, conference halls to cafeterias

Winking at me & saying 'Keep it going, Girl'

Can you now fancy the idea that I am so in love with 'LOVE'?

After a frenzied day's work, back home

I so enjoy munching on a chocolate bar;

Whilst watching the idiot-box before hitting the sack

And there they are????????

The 4 letters reaching out to kiss me 'Good Night & Sweet Dreams'

Now, don't you understand how much I am in love with 'LOVE'?

Wondering are you, what to make out of this?

Well, simple it is…

I don't, need no face,

I don't, need no body

All I need are those 4 lettered 'GEMS',

To keep falling in love with;

'Coz I am so hopelessly, 'In Love with 'LOVE'

Endless Wait

A little of 'You' is all that I wanted;

A little 'Love' is all that I seeked!

Mirth or Myth ?

Trapped in a labyrinth is my life;

Having to wait endlessly for you !

You gave me nothing but tears all along;

Why don't you try & preserve these 'pearls' for a change?

You see no reason, attributing everything to the changing season;

I wish you could stop getting 'even' with me, despite all the odds that I have witnessed in life!

I can see your conscious efforts to widen the distance between 'Us', but why flush out romance & passion out of our lives;

When we are so unsure of a ‘tomorrow’???

I have kissed 'death' several times;

Waiting endlessly for you!

‘coz waiting aimlessly for you has been close to dying…

Yet you will find me loll on withered leaves;

With 'joie de vivre'

And hope in the heart

That you will come this way 'Someday'

Throbbing hearts

Trembling hands

Long breaths

Fumbling words

Words mean 'Nothing'

When silence speaks wonders!

Moon-lit sky

Starry nights

Time becomes 'Idle'

Emotions galore

Horses' gallop

In my endless dreams!

Dreamy eyes

Wet lips

Flickering lights

Silence prevails

Only hearts beat

When bodies go ablaze

With just a tender touch!

Music plays

Tapping feet

After a hard day's work

You reach for a bottle of wine

Strawberries to complement

Priceless moments;

Just 'You' & 'Me'
