    I hvae posted abt this temple “Tevara Shivastalam Ganapateeswaram”, located inTiruchenkaatankudi near Nannilam near Thanjavur in Tamilnadu . I also got to know that this temple hosts Ganesha in human form (no elephant face)… Just checking if you or any other ganesha devotee you know have any more details regarding this. I am anxious to see the photos of the idol. LEt me know if you get any information about this temple. Thank you for your support.

    Very right… Not only cut our head (destroy our ego) but also install an elephant head (make us a perfect being). I hope you went through the symbology behind Ganesha also. E.g. large ears: good listening ability, large head: superiority of atma/mind, small eyes: concentrate, etc. It is here:
