Behind every sucessful man is a woman

December 22nd, 2006

Once during a non-formal chatting some one told me a story of a misunderstood genius. The person was a doctor with rare caliber. However his problem was he used to take his profession as a cause been bestowed upon him by the god. He would often make treatment of poor without any consideration. He was famous and people would respect him as a representative of god. He was meant for that.

Like a normal man he also got married. The things changed dramatically after his marriage. As any normal person his wife was also hooked to generation of the wealth and she was from a well to do family. The sole intention of getting married to a famous doctor was money and fame. But slowly she found her dreams scattered, she became frustrated and behaved like so. Their clinic was adjacent to the house. And she would often spill buckets of water in to the cabin or such things, which will embarrass both her husband and the patients. Slowly the rich stopped coming to the clinic and went to the other doctors as they can easily afford it. The poor people who also stopped coming, in fear of his wife. The doctor lost both fame and the ways of earning the money. It was the story of a person captioned behind every unsuccessful genius there is a woman

A few Days Back I was going through old articles of news paper the incident of Baba Ramdev surfaced. Baba was always favorite of intellectuals, but common man like me was never concerned about it. There is no doubt that Baba was a genius and his command on the yoga is really praise worth. However till a year back he was never darling of the masses. He was adored by only the intellectual class and his influence was limited to their drawing rooms, as a show piece of their knowledge. Only the persons who are sick and could not find and solace from the traditional diseases would visit Baba for his yoga and traditional medicines. How ever the things changed dramatically after Ms Karat complained about the presence of bones etc in the medicines and she questioned Baba's contribution to the mankind. The intention of Ms Karat was still unknown to me. May be it was instant publicity stunt, let what ever be the reason and what she had achieved from the same which is still unknown to us. Baba came out from drawing room of intellectuals to the masses. People have started following him in a big way to change their life. They are believing that simple living combined with yoga can enhance the life in both qualitative and quantative way. The caption behind every successful man there is a woman perfectly suits him
