The hectic day had stretched longer than we expected. So, we decided to have our dinner at a restaurant. Our daughter was superemely happy she loves eating out. At restaurants, she even eats carrots; at home all the sticks in the world cannot get her to touch even a piece of “that yucky thing”!
Settling down and waiting for the soups to arrive, our attention was drawn to a very young couple,(perhaps not married for long as there was mehendi on her hands) sitting nearby. The wife, with great enthusiasm, was showing some pictures she had on her mobile phone, to her husband. Everything was fine till he disagreed with something and then .the wife lost it I mean her temper.
Disregarding the ambience (the soft lights, soft music, and people talking in whispers), she suddenly stood up and said in quite a loud voice, "yehi to problem hai tumhari jo tum samajhte ho bas wahi thik hai, baki sab galat hai . Bilkul apni mummy pe gaye ho". This shut up her husband quite effectively as he stared at the cutlery with great preoccupation.
Others in the restaurant (her increased vocal power had drawn everyone's attention) looked away smothering their smiles. I thought, poor mummy of the guy! She wasn't even aware of all this and must be sleeping or watching T.V. peacefully at home. The mother of the groom in the same boat as the father of the bride!!!
yehi to problem hai tumhari… jo tum samajhte ho bas wahi thik hai, baki sab galat hai…. Bilkul apni mummy pe gaye ho”. !!!!!!! EK SAFAL MARRIED LIFE ME IN SHABDE KI KOI JAGHA NAHI HOTI HAI SATH NIBHANE KE LIYE. PAYAR,VISHAVSH & APNAPAN HONA JAROORI HAIN . GREAT POST
we don”t know lot of things that has happened…for example i am commenting here without knowing Hindi with only the previous comments as pieces of a jigsaw puzzle….but on the second hand guess work is so risky….and yes marriage is about compromises..and hope both parties does it equally.
Before blaming to someone else, we should not forget that what we are today and what we would be tomorrow……….aameen
;- ) …..what can i say …like mommy like son !
Compromise………… thats why I hate shaadi waadi……….
hahaha…deol…what an irony…she is blaming her mother…she is forgetting that she would also be a mother one day
very nice,
excellent.
saath nibhana hai to ek doosre ko samajh kar hi chalna padega. after a certain age every individual is responsible for his attitude.
yes ! actually this is life, we have to tolerate all such things…..
hehehe….the poor chap must have been embarrsed like hell……lets pray for their happpiness and peace for mom in law!!
I disagree- a restaurant is not the place to vent, and the guy is rather tolerant, may be too much obsessed with the woman!
and the beat goes on right? hey what’’s marriage bliss without some hiss - boring na.
niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice :)))))))))))))))))))) Take care
Embarassing moments…. may be becos they are newly married and it may take some time to understand the likes and dislikes of one another…… let us pray for them….
