It's been a very great feeling to be on the Rediff Homepage for almost 4 days from the 17th to the 20th. Thank You for all the Good Wishes that you have sent my way. Unfortunately, being very busy, I could not write any special piece for this occasion.. so, I am posting the draft version of Yaadein (I had discarded this version halfway, and am posting it as it was) .
Kuch kagaaz ke tukde jaise
Charon taraf bikhar gaye the
Hawayon mein kuch udd rahe the
Kuch paani mein doob gaye the
Dafnayen hue yaadein phir se
Aaj achanak jaag uthi hain
Kuch paas aa kar haath milate
Kuch door se bhi rula rahe hain
Yaadein raaste rok rahi thi
Zindagi aage bula rahi thi
Soch rahi thi kiski sunu ab
Beech bhawar mein khadi hui main
Manzilein kab kahan chhooti thi
Ab yaad karke kya karun main
Zindagi ke haath thaame
Nayee raah pe nikal padi main.

a motivational poem - rightly said there is no use on crying on split milk……Jeevan chalane ka naam,chalate raho subah-o-sham.
Zindagi ke haath thaamey nayi manzil ko nikal padi main……… its too beautiful. And this is true too….You might have heard : forget the past; dont think of future and take the life as it comes…….. This is a very beautiful sentence, whosoever has written and that keeps us alive. I like your poem and its positive attitude.
