Melodies fade and the music dies
The voices seem so far away;
There's neither darkness nor any light
In the twilight zone of time
The colors, which once looked so bright,
Seem jaded now and without a life
The smiles are forced and words are few
Aloofness marks man's milieu .
Oceans roar in unspoken words
Waves lash against the soul
Hiding deep within itself
Secrets yet untold
Eyes, which weathered many a storm,
Try hard not to give in to tears
Silently, without a word,
They are fighting back nameless fears
Time stands still
The suppressed sigh
Says the day is fading
Bid good bye.
