Collective thoughts

If one could ever sum up the total mind/intelligence/ego available with all living human species into a collective mind, a collective intelligence and a collective ego what kind would it be. Every mind evolves or devolves. At any given point in time, if you freeze karma, what would the sum total look like? Do you see love or do you see hatred. Do you see passion or do you see plain boredom. It is interesting isn't it if one could only delve into the universal collective mind. But isn't that what the media does day in and day out? What the media dishes out at any given time makes up for the collective mind and its actions. I see some disagreement here. In fact I disagree. :) They never showcased anything from my mind ever. What have I got to do with the Nithari killings or the Iraqi insurgence for that matter? I never had a choice. What could I do to halt Surinder in his tracks? I never even knew he was having children for dinner. For that matter Bush never asked me before getting into Iraq. So how does the collective mind matter? This is cool. One does ones own thing and to hell with the other minds. Hey, but I need to maintain my body. There you are. Caught at silly point. Each one of us is maintaining ones body. Even the amoeba in the pool of water. This is where the theory of interdependency comes into play and herein lies the wish of the collective mind. Self destruction or self maintenance. Every act of maintaining the body comes with a price. Look at global warming or the depletion of the ozone layer. So what is the collective living mind to do? Maintenance leads to Growth. Growth leads to depletion of resources. Depletion of resources leads to a vacuum. A vacuum in space and time is a Black Hole!

:) Play with your mind and have fun!

I think there is a collective consiousness that exist and every human act although seemingly independant impacts this collective and everyone. So sometimes we feel sad for no reason and sometimes we feel happy, it depends on somewhere some individual doing good/bad(painful) things.
    Thats my reasoning ;)

Human minds are so divergent that it is impossible to develop a collective mind…………Nice thought provoking post, Dear Eva.

“surinder was having children for dinner”… very evocative prose. Great post. thought provoking…but collective mind does not want you to take any blame. Those who did whatever will bear the consequence of their deed… why angst over their deeds???

I”d rather put it as “collective concience” rather than “collective mind” and I agree with you completely for most part of your post except when you come to the vacuum part. In fact like knowledge grows whilst spreading similarly interacting intellects evolve multifacetally. It is upto you what you want to retain. There is the good, the bad and the ugly in this world. Nice post, Regards,

My mind lives with infinite different minds all sounding a different rythem, yet it a part of that one collective mind which decides the nature and nurture of these individual minds.

The collective mind does”nt affects me but it guide my responses. It makes me cautious, it tells me that if Bush has done something with iraq, he is not right (or may be right as a matter of fact). It makes my own mind see and realise the situation surrounding me.It helps me to frame my response.

so that means only my heart is in isolation and not my mind?? think about it………………..
