A Prayer In Company

October 17th, 2009

Light all around, a soft breeze blowing, signing the new nests that they are making soon. The nests were blown away during last storm. The little girl is being led by her brother to cross the busy road, a hand of protection from the impending dangers and the shade of a guiding spirit. Crackers bursting and the smoke filled sky have a hazy azure. The dark man there has a wish to make more wealth next year; the woman at the temple wishes her fortune changes next year. She is brave, beautiful yet misunderstood more than she could bear. Her parents were never sympathetic, her husband a wreck. She struggles and never beaten. It is all for hope. And the hope is never lost, we never break; unless we have a weak spine and unable to stand among the laid down trees, erect and tall.

This is how I perceive Deeepavali, the lamp in multitudes, all lit and distancing dark and gloom. Good over evil, well how would good prevail if the evil is not made weak! The woman has to overcome the hurdles and in her march along; even if she does not need a helping hand, a prayer for her would reinforce human solidarity. I do not have any sympathy for the dark obese one, nor do I wish to join a prayer for his riches. I am not jealous of his wealth, but know he can amass wealth on his own.

A feeling to share and enrich human togetherness is how I can join in a prayer with you, for excellence of soul and matter, for enrichment of understanding and harmony. Hypocrisy, animosity, jealousy, destitution of soul and body is taken care of in a commune of souls which is in search of a togetherness of being. Call me dark or gloom, I can only join in a prayer for togetherness and company if you impart there with a sense of reciprocity of multitudinous souls. That would be my real joy and glory. I can sing then for Glory of Thee. And hold your hand along with others.
