Hi, what would you like to know about me? I was born in Chennai in October 1964, did my BCom from Madras Christian College, (class of 81-84), moved to Mumbai in early 1985 to join The Times of India as a trainee journalist, and have made Mumbai my home.
In the meantime, I have worked in publications too numerous to mention, was among the early movers to television (in 1994, with Amit Khanna’s Plus Channel), got back to print, launched a stillborn newspaper in 1995, launched the Indian Express Mumbai’s Express Newsline in 1996, and joined redif.com circa 1998.
My wife is yogacharya Shameem Akthar (http://jaisivananda.blogspot.com), and I am also a yoga afficionado, having done my ATTC from Sivananda ashram in Neyyar Dam, Kerala.
