Destiny – A Truth or Fiction - I

January 21, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: People

There are so many of us today who talks about destiny. If someone reaches a good position in life or if someone gets a good fortune, you may say his destiny is good. If you are suffering you say “it’s my destiny”. After all what is meant by the word destiny? According to the dictionary, destiny means - The inevitable or necessary fate to which a particular person or thing is destined; one’s lot.

Okay now do you really think there’s something called destiny that is all powerful to surpass our control of life? I don’t think so personally. I feel that there’s no external force that controls us. We are the master of our lives. It is just a matter of escapism that we called it destiny. We should start believing in ourselves. We are the creators of our future. Our present is the effect of our creation in the past.

Many of us now will be thinking about God. I don’t deny the presence of God. He’s the creative power of the whole universe. But God is love and he never wants anything bad to happen to us. What we experience today or tomorrow depends on how we think and what we do. There is nothing called destiny that has got anything to do about it.

Now here you need to understand that your thought is the most powerful thing that can create things whether it is good for your or bad for you. When your thoughts are focused on a certain thing, all your energies will be diverted to it and the outcome will be something which you don’t want.

Most of the time what happens is that we think more on things that we don’t want rather than thinking on things that we want. I’ll tell you how, suppose you have a financial problem, you think more on the problems rather than thinking on a solution or a happy ending to it. What happens here as per the law of attraction which is a proven theory of Quantum Physics. The theory says that our thought is a very powerful vibration and what we concentrate upon more comes back to us. So what is the mistake that we often commit? Simple, as I said, we keep on thinking more on our problems and not on the things that we want. So what we think of often comes back to us because likes attracts like.

 Now what is the solution? Of course, considering the nature of human mind it’s a bit difficult to think the other way but we need to do that for all the good things to come to us. Thus, we would be making the so called destiny the way we want or we would be creating our own destiny. Here are few steps that we could start practicing;

1. Whenever we face a problem, say a financial problem ignore it. Just think the opposite. Think you have enough money with you and visualize you having that money. When you think of having more money, your energy vibrations will be causing it to bring it to you.

 2. Everyday, spend 10 minutes alone with closed eyes and think everything is going well with you and visualize you being in a good situation that

Good Guys Finish Last but They Are On A Different Race

January 19, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: People

You might have heard about the saying “Good guys finish last but they are on a different race”. Well it’s kind of contradiction to facts that we have heard that good guys are better placed in life through better relationships and peace of mind for themselves. Then what does the above statement mean, how far is it true and even if it is true to some extend, is it fair that good guys finish last?

I think probably, there’s a different angle altogether to it. I remember one of my friends who followed a set of good principles in his life, very ethical in his thoughts and actions looking for a job immediately after his graduation. He belonged to a very poor family and after sending a lot of job applications, he received an interview call. It was from a real estate company and soon after joining there he understood that his company gives a lot of fake promises to the customers. He put down his papers immediately as he had a lot of pressure from his boss to perform at any cost and even by giving false commitments. He opposed his management by putting down his papers. After two weeks, he got another job with a good company and a higher salary and ironically he came to know that it was his previous boss who recommended his name to the current company.

Now, in the above example did my friend lose out? I don’t think so. He achieved something better in life right. When we say good guys finish last, they finish the race altogether through a different road having different attitudes and principles in life. We all may try to achieve success through shortcuts and we gain a lot of things to our satisfaction in life too. But the other good guy achieves much better than us probably a bit late but when our success gets diluted in the long run, his doesn’t. He achieves late but remains consistent in his success throughout his life.

Well this principle could apply to a lot of things. It could relate to you being more ambitious in life than others at a time when others think only of practical and realistic goals. Here I think that all goals are practical and realistic and being a bit more ambitious than others may take more time in achieving it. Fame and appreciation will come to you

Be a Geek and Be Popular too

January 18, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: People

You are a Geek? So what? You can still be popular. Take the example of one of the world’s biggest ‘geeks’, Bill Gates. Anything more?

Be confident. The term “geek” is a label that has been used on many people who have gone on to become quite popular. Sergey Brin and Larry Page, the founders of Google, are geeks that happen to be the most sought-after bachelors on the planet. Show everyone that you are proud of being a geek!

Impress people with the things you excel at. Most geeks have a talent or skill others can’t match. Perhaps you can calculate Pi by throwing hot dogs, win consistently at rock paper scissors, count cards, contact juggle or levitate. Whatever your talent is, flaunt it.

When you don’t feel like sticking out, blend in. No matter how much you love Star Trek, you can always smile and be friendly and sincere. This does not mean to act exactly as others are. Do not simply copy others unless you want to be another face in the crowd with no individuality.

Read his/her Body Language

January 18, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: People

Closeness of someone. The closer they are, the warmer their opinions are of you. The farther away that someone is, the less they actually care. It is worth noting that personal space is culturally fluid; keep in mind that what is considered close in one country is far away in another.

Head position.
Overly tilted heads are either a potential sign of sympathy, or if a man smiles while tilting his head, he is flirting. Alternatively, the person is trying to convince you of their honesty.

Lowered heads indicate a reason to hide something. Take note if someone lowers their head. If it is when he is complimented, he may be shy, ashamed, timid, keeping distance from the other person, in disbelief, or thinking to himself. If it is after an explanation, then he may be unsure if what he said was correct.

It should be noted that some cultures see this as a sign of respect.
Cocked heads mean that they are confused or challenging you, depending on eye, eyebrow, and mouth gestures.

Eyes.
Liars will consecutively look at you and look away a number of times. You can actually learn specifically how to observe behavior to judge whether someone is lying. However, some liars will make more eye contact than usual in an attempt to make you believe they are telling you the truth.
People who look away while supposedly listening to you are thinking about something else. This is why when you are talking to a group of people, if an item in conversation strikes the one looking away, they will ask for you to repeat the story. You can usually tell if a person is remembering something or making something up based on their eye’s movements. When someone is remembering details, their eyes move to the right (your right). When someone is making something up, their eyes move to the left. It’s usually reversed for lefties.

Some cultures believe that looking at someone in the eyes is a sign of disrespect.

Auditory learners may look from side-to-side and repeat phrases in an effort to

Be the Type of Nerd That Girls Love

January 18, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: People

There are many great things about being a nerd. You don’t want to change yourself but you don’t want to be a date free zone either. Well don’t worry - just read this article and transform yourself into the type of nerd that girls love!

Be sweet. Many girls find sweet guys irresistible. Don’t be a know it all -showing off might seem like a great idea but nobody likes a cocky guy, so be sweet. Always be willing to help anybody and share your knowledge with them. Don’t brag about anything, even if you’re sure that it’ll impress girls. Alternatively…

Be confident. Think you’re going to ace the next test? DO NOT preach it! It will only make you seem arrogant. However, don’t say you’re going to fail it. Try to appear humble and help others instead if they’re having a hard time.

Branch out. Don’t stay stuck inside your friendship circle - branch out! Try talking to other people or helping other students with school work. Become a tutor! You don’t have to stop talking to your regular friends or change your personality - just step out of your comfort zone. This will ensure that you are more noticeable.

Be nice. Be as nice as you can to everybody - not just girls. Help people when they ask you, don’t show off or be cocky, and just try to be a generally pleasant person. Girls love nice guys - and this will probably increase your popularity rating too (obviously not applicable if you are choosing to be mean).

Improve your appearance. Looks most definitely aren’t everything, but it’ll help if you look your best. Look after your skin: cleanse and moisturize every single day. No - it’s not just for girls; and yes - it is worth the time and effort to make your skin look its best! If you wear the same clothes everyday or are living in a world of high collared shirts, try relaxing your look or just cleaning it up a little. Try to match colors when wearing a full outfit, and always make sure you wear clean clothes. Never wear socks with trousers tucked in, and no open shirts, it is not a good look. Shower every day, wash your hair frequently and try to avoid bad breath. Shave, geek stubble is not cool (and if you are unfortunatly one of those males who
