Here we will discuss some steps that could be taken to achieve this.

Identify areas of lack – You may be having lack of confidence in every area. But there may be few thrust areas which has played a key role in developing this non confidence and then it might have started reflecting in others areas also. So the most important aspect is to identify the key areas which makes your self esteem dip and you feel upset about. It could be a small problem like acne, wearing glasses, falling grades and so on. Identify those areas and start thinking of steps to get rid of that problem. Once those areas turn positive for you, you will start feeling confident in every other area.

Consider yourself at par with others - Never feel you are inferior to others. Every person has got their own merits and demerits. So certain strengths that you posess may be lacking in someone else and vice versa. Do not commit the mistake of thinking only about the strengths of others while ignoring yours.

Speak to your mentors, friends and family – Speak to them about your problems. Find out how you could improve those areas. Ask them about you, your strengths. They may have some advice to offer which could

We all have to earn a for a living. For this we need to excel in whatever we do to earn our living. This world is a world of tough competition. Whether we work for someone or we are self employed, we need to show excellence in what we do to be successful in life. So how can we achieve that? Two important things have to be practiced and followed. They are IDEA and AEDI.

Starting with the first aspect – IDEA stands for Identify, Dedicate, Employ and Accelerate. Okay now we will discuss it one by one:

1. Identify - The most important thing you need to do to excel in what you do is to identify your area of strength. If you have many areas of strength, identify which one interests you more.

2. Dedicate – After you identify in which area you want to operate based on your strength and interest level, dedicate yourself to that particular subject. Concentrate more on that area and build your skill sets further.

3. Employ – Here is the most important aspect. You need to be employed either to someone or to yourself. I mean you need to get a job somewhere or be self employed. This employment should be in the area of your strength and interest identified earlier as discussed above.

4. Accelerate – Now don’t just get employed and keep on doing it for your living. Accelerate yourself. Try to be number one in what you are doing. Work hard and work smart and reach a level where you are the topper. You can read on “How to be a topper” at http://sanojjose79.blogspot.com/2010/01/how-to-become-topper.html.

How to Become a Topper

January 21, 2010 By: sanoj jose Category: Success

It’s the constant urge of any human being to be a topper in the area of their operation. Whether it is to be a topper in class, a topper in the team, a topper at home or a topper in their profession; the desire to be a topper and the satisfaction of being one is never ending. Even if many us do not put our best efforts to become one, this desire will be there at the back of our minds always.

In a world of mad competition, it’s not a easy task to become a topper. So there are few things that has to be considered in this direction which we will be discussing in this article.

The foremost of all is the four D’s of success without which an aspiration to be at the top is never established. The four D’s of success are dedication, determination, discipline and devotion.

Dedication:

Dedication is the primary necessity required to establish any goal. Whatever our objective in life is, we need to be dedicated to it. Just giving a passing thought to our goal and doing few things won’t help you to be a topper. So you need to first decide in which area you want to be a topper and then have dedication towards that objective; the rest will fall in line.

Determination:

When we start doing certain things, it’s quite natural that we may fall a few times. But you need to consider every fall a stepping stone to success. Many times you start doing something and a few obstacles on the way will make you demotivated and your determination may tend to fall. When you want to be a topper, you need to place your heart and mind to that goal and
