SIF

I have found the following website which tries to help men in distress. Amid the total gloom surrounding men in this world, there is a little bit of lightening at least!

The great website is: http://www.saveindianfamily.org/

As we scroll down the above home page, on the left side one can see a menu titled “Partner Sites” which lists more great sites.

Hence mens’ movement has litterally started! (unbelievable). Let us hope these movements bring atleast some justice to men. Some great person once told something like this: “Nothing can stop a great idea whose time has come” (Wish bad women won’t be able to stop these ideas which are really good for the entire human race).

Plight of some men in “developed” countries

One cannot blindly assume that “developed countries” are gender neutral and hence men won’t be harassed by women. Still, because there are a few great objective thinkers in these “developed countries”, men can have atleast an infinitesimally small hope as far as their rights (human rights; here ‘human’ should include not only ‘women’ but ‘men’ also) are concerned. Time alone can tell whether injustice against men would ever end.

A nice site (must visit):

How to Promote Humanity?

One essential step towards promoting humanity…….

One should treat men with
dignity, allow them to express their gentle side or just allow them
to be very good instead of expecting them to be compulsorily very bad
and blaming them for being bad later; this will not only help men but
will help women also to a greater extent and thus would result in a
harmonius, peaceful and happy society.

Societies in the past had
many superstitions but they never accepted them as superstitions but
believed they were hard “realities”. Likewise do we have
“modern superstitions” existing in our modern world but
think of them as “eternal truths”? According to my
observation, the present day myth which is detrimental to the entire
health of the society and which is being perpectuated both by “ladies
and gentlemen” is: “All men are demons and their only
purpose on this world is to harass women; men are symbols of evil;
all women are angels and they are always right; if a man makes sexual
advances, it is indecency and he should be punised severely; if he
doesn’t make sexual advances, he is a eunuch or homosexual; if a
woman doen’t do sexual advances, she is decent; if she does advance,
the guy is not harassed but “lucky”". The
superstitions produce lot of confusions both in men and women.
Finally since both men and women are meant to live harmoniously and
are meant to show love and not hatred towards each other, if men are
badly affected, it would definitely affect women directly or
indirectly. Again, the women centric present world where men have
always been enemies of other men but women are strongly united, blame
for all the instability created due to unnoticed indirect or direct
atrocies created on men by women and women biased men and also the
blame for the direct or indirect atrocies created by men on fellow
men and women in return, are put on men alone. This would result in
stricter and harder law enforcement on men which again would trigger
devastation of men or retaliation by men, both of which again affect
women. Hence it is of vital importance for the contempory society to
allow men to live with dignity. If there is a disease it is always
good to understand and treat for the root cause rather than not
accepting that there exists a disease at all. Although it is already
too late, if something in this regard is not done atleast now, the
whole human society would definitely going to blast and peace and
happiness for both men and women would just be a mirage forever.I am of the opinion that
it is difficult to completely eliminate terrorism by just brute force
without heading to the root cause which caused terror activities.
Same philosophy might be applied when it come to womens right also.
Just making harder laws in retaliation to certain heinous acts
commited by some men wouldn’t take the society anywhere, if it
doesn’t consider mens’ viewpoint and also if it doesn’t consider why
men indulged in such activities. Terror in return to terror can only
lead to a terror chain reaction. Hence, first of all the society
should be exposed to these real truths; awareness among men would be
a very strong weapon against this ever unnoticed discrimination
against men. Hence WE BADLY NEED A CAMPAIGN TO CREATE AWARENESS AMONG
MEN AND WOMEN REGARDING THESE ISSUES IF WE WANT TO SAVE OUR SOCIETY
FROM A VERY BAD CRISIS.

The idea is to make men
and women aware of mens’ rights and to recognize men as human beings.
I am not telling that women are not victimized; it is also possible
that discrimination against women is much more prevalent than
discrimination on men. But atleast they have good “voice”
these days and there are many organizations and projects working on
this issue; even if it is found that men are less victimized compared
to women, we need atleast very few organizations to address mens’
issues as opposed to a large number of womens’ groups. Remember, A
STRONG POISSON IN VERY SMALL AMOUNT IS MUCH MORE DANGEROUS THAN
CONTAMINATED FOOD IN LARGE QUANTITIES.

Men, women and hence the
whole society would greatly benifit from this. The idea is not to
promote “feminism” or “chauvinism” but to always
hold up “humanism”. Initially feminists were humanists but
now since they like to restrict themselves to be just “feminists”,
atleast a very few organizations and projects dealing with mens’
issues are not only desirable but vital for the survival of humanity.
Again, in addition to men, women would also be greatly greatly
benifited from this campaign.

There are renowned
psychologists and thinkers, both men and women, who have thought
about this. Their thoughts and ideas should be collected and brought
under one umbrella. These findings should be publicised and we should
be open for comments and criticisms by all. More we get cross
questions and more people argue that we are foolish or chauvinists,
more we get the chance to make known to the entire world that we are
right. And, TRUTH WILL SURVIVE IF IT IS TRUE THAT ONLY TRUTH CAN
SURVIVE THE TEST OF TIME.

Community psychologists
can keep statistical data regarding mental health, physical health of
men and women, conduct surveys on men and women, community happiness
etc. and can determine whether the campaign created and promoted a
healthy man-woman or woman-man relationship and whether it helped to
create a happy, harmonius, humanist society where all individuals
irrespective of gender live with dignity.

What is rape?

Almost the entire world is biased towards
women while defining the term “rape”. Very often, media uses “rape” as a
synonym for “intercourse”. They consider intercourse even with the woman’s
consent as rape; also, according to the laws in most countries, intercourse
without man’s consent (i.e., rape of men by women) is also considered as rape
of the woman by the man.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

There are many mental disorders that are hardly noticeable
even by friends, family members and people who know the affected person very
well. Of course, these can affect both the genders. But I have seen many many
men who are destined to live a dog's life because of these disorders while
nobody identified their disorders even in an era when treatments to these
disorders, which would enable these people to lead very normal lives, are
available.

The paradox

According to a legendary epic, when a character was asked "Which is the strangest thing in this world?", he replied "Individuals always see people dying; still everyone believes that she or he is eternal". In the present world, if a ghost comes to you and bothers to answer the same question, you can safely answer: "People tell that men have an edge over women while the fact is perfectly the opposite. What can be stranger than this?" If the ghost is sincere, it should say "perfectly true".

If you go to a person of the lowest rank (like a bankrupt in the street) and ask "Who is dominating? Women or men?", answer will be bounced without delay: "Definitely women". Now, if you go to a genius and ask the same question, spontaneous reply would be: "It is women only; I can't imagine how you could get doubt about this". But the rest of the world is under ignorance and all lead just fraudulent lives, proclaim fraudulent life and even force all to live fraudulent lives.

Every historian and authority on history agree that Kalhana's "Rajatharangini" is the most authentic (many authorities tell that it is the only authority which gave the history of ancient India 'as it is') book. It not only pictured bad kings but also vividly explained the atrocities of contemporary women including queens. Have you read "Jathaka" stories of Buddha, which are considered to reflect the society of Buddha's time? What about "women" in those stories? For sample, according to one story, a step mother forces a young prince to have sex with her and when he sternly refused, she complained to the king that the prince tried to rape her. What about "Arabian Nights"? Is it fair and right to tell that whatever women do, whatever they tell is always correct and unquestionable? Even writers like Tolstoy who is known for his unbiased, clear and sane views didn't hesitate to point out when women did mistakes.

I know that sometimes I write like "men" and that is intentional. If women can always be "women" (not essentially humans) why can't men be "men" at least sometimes? One can argue: "If a dog bites you, why should YOU bite the dog?" I would say: "If there is no other means, I won't mind biting the dog back if I think it will help me get rid of the dog". There may be one more advantage of aping women. If women can't see what they are doing, and if they don't have a mirror, an ape which tries to mimic them can help them see what they are doing. After all, how many write about men? As I have mentioned in one of my previous blogs, if we take the ratio of the number of men harassed to the number of people who write about men and compare the ratio with the ratio of the number of women harassed to the number of people who write about women, we can see that men have less voice, no.. no.., hardly any voice, sorry, men have no voice. Is it not better to give voice to the voiceless instead of adding voice to the people who are already making noise?

By equality, people believe that if the number of men harassed is equal to the number of women harassed, then men and women could be considered equal. If feminists have a humanist face, why can't they see that "equality" could also be achieved if there is no harassment of either men or women? 1=1 sounds ok, 2=2 sounds ok but 0=0 sounds quite odd?

One can ask me: "How can you be sure that what you see is real? Why can't that be an illusion?"
According to Swami Vivekananda: "One who KNOWS AND KNOWS THAT HE KNOWS is a teacher". But don't call me teacher! I am a blogger!

One asked: "Why are you writing about men only? Why can't you see things in entirety?"
"What can be a better, noble and satisfying job than giving voice to the voiceless, trying to clearly express ideas which are hardly expressed?"

What is the right marriageable age for men?

I am giving you the link for the list of minimum age for marriage prevailing in different countries. Medically, suppose a couple marries early, say, at the age of 12, boy may be required to be a little older than the girl, since boys are thought to reach full puberty a little later than girls. But according to any authority, if a couple want to get married at around 18, the boy need not necessarily be older than the girl.

Now see yourself how several countries discriminate men against women (although several other countries don’t do this), by going through the following link (from Wikipedia) :
