Here is the song for us to listen…
Lyrics
In my dream children sing a song of love for every boy and girl
The sky is blue and fields are green and laughter is the language of the world
Then I wake and all I see is a world full of people in need
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don’t understand.
When so many need somebody we don’t give a helping hand.
Tell me why?
Everyday I ask myself what will I have to do to be a man?
Do I have to stand and fight to prove to everybody who I am?
Is that what my life is for to waste in a world full of war?
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don’t understand.
When so many need somebody we don’t give a helping hand.
Tell me why?
(children) tell me why? (declan) tell me why?
(children) tell me why? (declan) tell me why?
(together) just tell me why, why, why?
Tell me why (why) does it have to be like this?
Tell me why (why) is there something I have missed?
Tell me why (why) cos I don’t understand.
When so many need somebody we don’t give a helping hand.
Tell me why (why, why, does the tiger run)
Tell me why (why why do we shoot the gun)
Tell me why (why, why do we never learn)
Can someone tell us why we let the forest burn?
(why, why do we say we care)
Tell me why (why, why do we stand and stare)
Tell me why (why, why do the dolphins cry)
Can some one tell us why we let the ocean die ?
(why, why if we’re all the same)
tell me why (why, why do we pass the blame)
tell me why (why, why does it never end)
can some one tell us why we cannot just be friends?
When the hands are not strong to hold, vision blurs and skin wrinkles, Botox injections only help to regain a youthful appearance. What about the soul dwelling on the inside? I am writing this blog as I was deeply touched after witnessing three old men who were waiting in the bank.
Here's the story
Aparna & I went to the Indian Bank during our break time. When I was about to open the glass door, an old man (First) came out and hold my right hand tightly. The touch of his hand sent an instant signal to my brain while my eyes were anxiously looking who could be the owner of that hand. As per the instruction from my brain, I turned and saw him. An old man with those big glasses covering his face partially was walking with the help of his assistant (walking stick). Suddenly sympathy filled my heart. With that feeling I pushed the glass door and stepped in. The whole place was dark and all I could see the shining red color from the optical mouse.
My friend was filling up the DD form meanwhile my eyes were observing the people in the bank. I saw the same old man was getting in along with two other men. The man who was in his 40s guided that old man to sign some small paper. The old man said that he could hardly see anything. So the two men walked him to a place where there was some light. The old man signed the paper. The man who was in his 25 to 30s went and gave that paper to the bank staff. And he returned with the same paper to the old man. "Why did you sign here?" asked the young man. Followed by the young man, the man in 40s raised his voice, "Why did you do this?" The old man didn't say a word. Then another slip was given to him for the signature. These two men walked that old man to another location where there was an ample amount of sunlight. Finally, it was done.
The old man (Second) who was sitting opposite to me asked, "Madam, what's the time now?" I replied, "It's 12 now". He smiled back to me saying, OK.
I was waiting for my friend and looking for the signs of her arrival to the place where I was seated comfortably. Another old man (Third) sat next to me. He took the chequebook from his brown color bag. After that he was searching for the pen. Even before I opened my to ask him, " Would you like to have a pen?". He said, "Can I have a pen?". I took the pen from my friend's hand and gave it to him. He said, thanks. The feeling I got was simply great. I was happy on the inside that I did something good that day.
I was watching him so closely as he was struggling to hold the pen in order to write his account details. He looked at me and asked, would you mind writing these details for me. I said, sure. He gave the pen to me. While I was filling the amount in words, he was sharing his heart with me that he had a stroke, which is why he couldn't fill the details. I could really understand how difficult for him of his age walking in the hot sun to the bank. I returned the cheque to him. It was his turn to put his signature. He was holding the pen so tightly without stopping at any point; he signed it with so much of difficulty. He said, "Thanks". I just smiled at
him.
We both left the bank with few things running through our minds. Why those old men were left alone to the bank? Even if someone accompanies them, why can't they treat them well? How can the family members leave an old man, who had a stroke, all alone to the bank?
My dear friends don't ever neglect the old people. We see many old age homes keep cropping up across our nation due to this one word in well-educated minds of the people - "BURDEN". When we born, our parents fed us, clothed us, washed us, changed our diapers 5 to 8 per day and wiped our tears while they relished themselves by just seeing our innocent, cute and lovely smiles. But when they get old, it's our time to take care of them like babies. If you neglect an old man/woman when you are young, it's so true that you will be neglected one day when you become old.
Older One”s
When I see grey hair and wrinkles,
I want to cringe at the sight.
When I see the elderly put up a fight,
I want to say go home, bury your head out of sight.
When I see an old person walking slow,
I want to give them a push, and tell them to go.
When I see an old person wanting a seat,
I just put up my feet.
That is what I see everyday,
People treating the old with dismay.
The young having their way,
While the older person can”t have their say.
How can I change the way of the young,
When all their friends laugh at their jokes and fun.
The world will still turn, And people
will still continue to make fun
But I will carry on my work,
To try and change people that lurk.
My grandmother would be proud,
Of her granddaughter now,
For her words of wisdom haunt my soul
And I am glad to have told.
Old people are not old and weak,
They have a lot to offer and can speak.
So when you see an old people, don”t push them away,
Sit and talk to them today.
(I came across this poem on the net and it's really worth sharing with you all!)
The above poem came to my mind when I was travelling in the share auto on October 8th.
Hello my friends,
How are you doing? How was your day?
I would like to share an interesting video with you all. Hope you enjoy especially guys who are carrying some extra luggage with them. This video is my brother’s (recently I found out) all-time-favorite video. Whenever I see him using our computer, he watches this video often. He says - this is really inspiring. No wonder he got up at 5 AM in the morning and did some workouts and fast running. The end result is amazing. He is going to gym these days regularly. Even his coach was astonished to see this transformation. I am the witness. : ) I am so happy for him. He was fat and now he is slim and very smart looking. I keep pulling his legs , “Hey John (my bro’s name) I could see one pack and what about 5 other packs?” And he told me to wait until this December 2009. So I am waiting patiently.
Take care!!
Goody Night!!!

You look lovelier tonight than I remember
I’m so glad I got to see you once again
I’ve enjoyed just sitting down and reminiscing
But I’ve enjoyed as much of this as I can stand.
There’s so much more between us than this table
All those years, all those dreams, all those plans
Guess you know about me sayin’ I still I love you
But I’ve enjoyed as much of this as I can stand.
— Instrumental —
So you say you’re happy now you’ve found a new love
Tell him I said his a lucky, lucky man
No, I don’t think I’ve had time to see his picture
I’ve enjoyed as much of this as I can stand.
There’s so much more between us than this table
All those years, all those dreams, all those plans
Guess you know about me sayin’ I still I love you
But I’ve enjoyed as much of this as I can stand…
Wearing gorgeous formal attire
Celebrating love with no dire
Waiting day and night
Near the window - Woman in wedding dress
Listening to divine voice
Hushing up household noise
Waiting day and night
Near the window - Woman in wedding dress
Watching the stars shining bright
Needing to be His heart's delight
Waiting day and night
Near the window ' Woman in wedding dress
Silver lining on the darkest cloud
Smiling on what she vowed
Waiting day and night
Near the window - Woman in wedding dress
Hoping for bright future
Thinking of timely departure
Waiting day and night
Near the window - Woman in wedding dress

My ROJA with No Petals & Thorns!
Hello Friends,
Thank you very much for your comments and most of all your PATIENCE! I hope I didn’t disappoint you by taking 2 days time to post this particular blog. Here I present my ROJA to you all!
My friend and I were heading towards the bus stop after work. Sun set and the cool evening breeze sent warm signals to my skin. With that faint feeling, we reached the bus stop. As we were waiting for the bus, I saw a small kid who was crying. She was dark and attractive wearing blue and white frock. The tears were rolling down on her beautiful cheeks. I couldn’t take my eyes off from that little kid. I started to observe the kid very closely for few minutes. Another small boy was playing nearby that kid. Also, there were two women watching the kids play. I saw the little kid’s hands were dirty and no sandals to protect her tender feet. But she caught my attention completely that evening. Not knowing how to stop her from weeping, my heart was looking for some sign. Did I get it right?
Immediately I was looking for shops behind the bus stop so that I can buy something for her. I told my friend, Stay here for a sec and I’ll be back soon. My friend was so anxious where I was going. I saw a big question mark on her face. I found a shop where I could see 3 big bottles full of chocolates right in the front. I asked the shop keeper, How much is it?. He replied, 50 Paise each. I was doing multi-tasking. My eyes were looking at the kid in the bus stop while I was asking for four chocolates to ensure these chocolates should achieve the goal what I had in my mind. I grabbed those four chocolates quickly in my hand and rushed to the bus stop. I reached my hand with the 2 chocolates, knowing there were chocolates; there was no trace of sadness in her eyes. She opened her tiny hands, I saw her palm was dirty still I didn’t stop to place the chocolates in her little cute hand. I told her, Have this and you should not cry okay? The precious smile showed up on her face because she said goodbye to her Tears! Instant cheer captured that kids heart and she started to play by pulling my bag. I gave the other two chocolates to the boy standing next to her. My heart was bubbled with joy as if I achieved something great. I was completely lost in her innocent cute smile.
I asked her, What is your name?. Oaa… hmm… What is it? She said, Oa….. All I could hear was “O” sound. I didnt want to disturb her anymore because she was busy trying to remove the chocolate wrapper. On seeing that my friend helped her out. She put the chocolate in her mouth and started munching it. I think the boy was her brother. Roja, see, I am playing and you also join with me, boy said. I got it this time that her name is ROJA.
As she was playing with my bag and friends bag, the bus arrived. I ran to catch the bus. I got into the bus and my unquiet mind and curious eyes were looking for my Roja. She looked at me and said Akka (Sister), Tata so aloud jumping at the bus stop. The people who were inside the bus started to look out after hearing that loud voice. I just smiled and didnt forget to wave my hands to respond her back. Soon, the physical presence of Roja faded away as the bus was moving. Now my head was heavy with her thoughts.
Some things I couldnt let my heart to keep it secret, so I rushed home and narrated the entire incident to my mom. She was so happy for me. I said to myself - May be an Angel or may be God Himself in the form of Roja. Did I treat her to the best of my ability??
What Mother Teresa would have done in that place? I am pretty sure, she would have kissed that kid and hold her hands tightly. Mother would have asked her, where do you stay? Would you like to come to my place? She would have washed her cute little hands. That kid would have got the opportunity to enter the school. No one can measure the height and depth of unconditional LOVE demonstrated by Mother Teresa! She is my inspiration and she will be forever…
Next morning, I asked my friend Hey, What do you think about the kid whom we saw last evening? She said, I wish I had a camera with me that time. She is so pretty and her smile is so beautiful. I thought the same thing in my mind too. That evening, I was looking for Roja in the same bus stop. She wasnt there. I said to myself - Some day I may meet another Roja and that day I will try to extend my helping hands little further.
