Injustice - Our Destiny

Whole nation including me  watched the bloodbath and fire in all parts of Rajasthan for the reservation issue. At a first glance, we do not loose even a second to blame it to our politicians sitting in our drawing rooms. That is one part of this hard truth but is it enough on our part to pass on the buck to the politicians and change the TV channel/ discuss something else.

Having a philosophical mind, this incidence forced me to think the root cause of this issue. As all of us know that as per present system, reservation is caste based. 60 years back, when this idea was implemented, the whole nation was charged with patriotism and materialism had no place in people's mind. Our leaders and people were symphethetic towards our Sc/St brothers to bring them up in the main stream. Hence nobody objected to the caste based reservation and hence it went on smoothly.

After 60 years, materialism has hijacked the charitable mind of the people. With the spread of education among all sections of the society, people's analyzing power has increased. Today even a layman is trying to understand this logic that why the kids of  Sc/St civil servants needs reservation and why not his children. The reservation has become a feudal system where Sc/Sts are born with a permanent position in the society. The height of the system is that some people have turned to be the holy cows in this system. Nobody can dare to touch them. I mean, nobody can think of removing the creamy layer from the reservation system whether the people needs help or not. This thing has aggravated the other people's mind who do not come under this umbrella but they are poorer than some of Sc/Sts.

The hard truth is that India was never ruled by meritorious people. Some of my friends can differ with me. If it were the merit, outsiders could not have ruled us for so many centuries. Injustice is our destiny. Today also, our politicians are busy in strengthening their vote banks whatever amount of injustice happens to the people that does not matter to them.

Hard luck to our politicians. This time, they are in a hard situation. Next 10 years can be turbulent times for our politicians.

On our part, simply sitting in the drawing rooms and blaming it to our politicians is not enough. We must come forward and vote in every election as a vote bank of educated people. Above all this is the only vote for which our politicians are encouraging the people of two castes to fight with each other. If we give our votes to our politicians, then they need not to do this divide and rule policy.

Yes. You are 100% correct. Untill unless educated come out and cast their vote all politicians naturall bank on the vote banks. All educated should invariably educate the uneducated persons about the evils by electing a wrong person to a honourable position. There is a saying in Telugu ” If a dog is placed on a golden throne it will its own qualities but not others”. This is high time. Let us spread this veiw among ourselves to save our country before it goes into foreign hands.

But of what use is our vote, if whoever we vote for ends up in the same dirt that we don”t want him/her to get into?

On reservation issue, on one hand I do think that ppl who suffered for centuries based on the cast system should be brought at the main stream by positive discrimination, on the hind side this has benifitted only those who were already well off and aware but did not benifit who really needed it..This has unnecessarily created divides and hatreds.. Looknig at that i think the strategy should now be reworked to bring the backwords and poverty ridden ppl in the mainstrem by educating them and at the same time not donig any injustice to meritorious kids just because they belong to upper casts.. regards,

As per our Indian constitution it is a crime to discriminate individuals on the basis of his/her caste and creed, so this reservation is not like contradicting ur own rule or my understanding is not correct.

I agree with you, today morning only i was reading a article on Indiatime.com which mentions about a person who secured 10th rank in IAS exams & is a son of a lorry driver. Instead of giving reservations & diluting the importance of intellingence & quality, we should help them out in giving free coachings & study material etc. By giving resevations we place non deserving candidates (without any efforts) on highest of Administrative positions which is an irony for India.

Well said. Unless we stop thinking of ourselves as so and so, from such place or community, this kind of exploitation will take place. We should be as INDIANS first and all other things will become immaterial.

it’’s true, each word of it,even i believe that it’’s we who are at the roots of all this rot,we have elected all these worthless people,we are merely cooking a gossip, distancing ourselves from things that should have mattered but which now cease to matter as they are but news to us and trying hard just to pass on the responsibility to someone else’’s shoulder….and in just jotting all this, perhaps I am also proving to be what I am condemning….but then,I feel at a loss what to do…to vote prudently alone is certainly not all for me as an individual, there’’s certainly more to it…..but I am confused ….
Iwud be happy if u put ur comments while reading up my new entry,it’’s on me
