Its not u and me sitting face to face
Its me playing a tune on my guitar!
You are my listener listening to the tune
It seems both the persons are old
But the painter has the heart of gold!
Having drawn the two topics in one portrait!
As if he betrayed those who view
At a glance, understood only few
Through Sherlock Holmes’ eyes
Can somebody understand!
The meaning of the portrait
That is quite appropriate!

You ran and I followed you
Across the road into the park
In the garden filled with flowers
Across the beautiful fountain
In the valley of the neighboring moutain!
Without any leg pain
I ran and ran after you
Our friendship will never fade!
Even after a decade!
If you leave me forever!
I will cry and sigh!

About point of view
We never match
My friend, Cat, thinks of getting food!
I, being Ulysses, explore for knowledge!
I read books one after another!
My cat plans to steal my food
When I’m immersed in a pool of thought!
Swimming from one end to the another to read a decision!
Slicing the facts presented to me like the doctor’s incision!
The cat says: “Mew, Mew!”
Meaning there is nothing new!
But we, humans, need to stand in queue
For jobs, food, shelter…..
My cat runs helter-skelter for free shelter and food!
Still its life sounds simple and good!

Lakhs of people died in Haiti
Earthquake, cyclones take God’s creatures away!
Taking our near and dear away!
Milions born and lakhs die
All we do is sit and sigh!
