SMOOTH RUNNING OF MARRIED LIFE NEEDS ADJUSTMENTS

It is practical aspect of life that if you are fast and your wife is slow or vice versa, both of you cannot walk together unless one slows down a little bit and the other speeds up a little bit. Smooth running of married life needs adjustments.

LOGIC MAKES US MATURE

We often take wrong decisions in absence of application of logic. Without application of logic our capacity to take correct decision is always equal to decision taking capacity of an innocent child who cannot differentiate in between right and wrong.

MY SILLY THOUGHTS: ELDERS’ WISH

Where elders love their youngers, it is due to affection of elders towards their youngers that in stead of giving command to their youngers, elders express their command in form of their desire before the youngers. Therefore, elders’ wish should be interpreted by their youngers as an order of their elders.

NEW YEAR WISH

Hi Friends,

I wish you and this entire world a very-very happy, prosperous and tension free New Year 2010. May God bless His creation on this Earth with feeling of “Vishwa vasudhaiva kutumbkam”.

On this day, we would like to draw your kind attention towards following shloka (verse) from Shrimad Bhagwad-Geeta:-

Yogastha kuru karmaani sangam twaktwaa dhananjay |
Sidhyaisidhyo samo bhutwaa samatwam yoga uchyate ||

In the verse quoted above, Lord Krishna speaks to Dananjay (one of the names of Arjuna) as follows:
Leave aside the fear of victory or defeat. Have a neutral feeling towards both of them. Don’t think of victory or defeat, success or falilure. Be balanced and perform your acts without being disturbed or perplexed by feeling of victory or defeat, success or falilure. Such state (state of performing acts, maintaining a balance) is called yoga.

 Friends,

It is difficult for me to explain the verses of Geeta in their true sense. Neither I understand Sanskrit language properly nor I own mental status or calibre  to understand the underlying philosophy. Hence, it is also difficult for me to appreciate verses in true sense. Hope you kind people will forgive me for my all faults. What I could understand is:

Yoga is not for thee who dies of hunger,
And is not for thee who takes over much.
Yoga is for thee who awakes all the time,
And is not for thee who sleeps over much.
Yoga is for thee who is balanced at every step in life,
In walking, waking, talking, taking, sleeping, …

In critical cases of operations performed on a human body, a surgeon knows that patient may also die, but without worrying about death performs operation. So one must behave like a surgeon in all his actions.
Mitro (Friends)! Apart from physical pains, most of the human beings are suffering from tension, worry and dissatisfaction. Somebody has aptly remarked “Murde ko chitaa jalaati hai, jeete ko chintaa khaati hai.” (Dead bodies are burnt on pyre whereas living persons are eaten by worries). What has been said is that worry is worse than a pyre. Pyre destroys dead bodies whereas worry destroys living bodies.

Have you ever thought about causes of tension, worry and dissatisfaction? In my considered opinion, our expectations and attachments are the only causes. These give birth to tension, worry and dissatisfaction. By attachment I mean “mine & yours” (teraa-meraa).

On this occasion of New Year Day, once again I wish you and this entire world a tension free, worriless and a life full of satisfaction. It is upto you to think about the manner and the way you can fight and conquer these enemies.

I wish to be back soon, but I can’t promise. I again wish a very-very happy, prosperous and tension free New Year to all.

With thanks and regards,
Keshav Dayal

MY SILLY THOUGHTS-4 : A LIAR LOSES HIS CREDIBILITY

A habitual liar loses his credibility. A truth spoken by a liar cannot be isolated from a lie spoken by him. And therefore, a truth spoken by a liar cannot be easily believed. Instead of an ear it needs an eye to believe a lie. But then every truth cannot be seen. Therefore, it is always better not to speak a lie.

MY SILLY THOUGHTS -3

People having perverse thinking may also commit mistakes unknowingly. When such people commit mistakes unknowingly, they do not agree that they have committed a mistake. In all other cases, people commit mistakes unknowingly. In those cases, they are ignorant towards mistakes committed by them.

There may be two causes of committing mistakes unknowingly. In one case, person knows what is right and what is wrong, but he performs a thing without analyzing the thing done with an eye of an impartial critic. One can say that such thing has been done without giving a proper thought. In second case, the person does not have knowledge of doing a particular thing properly. In this case, one can say that thing has been done without having proper knowledge. In first case, the person, who has committed a mistake, needs impartial critic eye and in second case, he needs a teacher who can point out his mistake and may impart him with correct way of performing a particular thing.

There is no difficulty in identifying an impartial critic eye and a true teacher. Where you have committed a mistake without analyzing right or wrong, after the critic draws your attention, you get satisfied. Where you have committed a mistake without knowing the correct way of doing it, after the critic gives its suggestion, you can experience it by acting upon the suggestion and can see outcome.

Unless you have perverse thinking, you always need an impartial critic eye who can point out your mistakes and a teacher who can tell your mistakes and impart you with proper knowledge. So there is nothing to lose your temper when somebody, without having perverse thinking, points out your mistakes and /or tells you the way of doing a thing properly.

MY SILLY THOUGHTS -2

(1)

IF YOU EXPECT THAT OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD ADMIRE AND RESPECT YOU, YOU SHOULD PAY ATTENTION TO LIKINGS AND DISLIKINGS OF SUCH OTHER PEOPLE. YOU CANNOT EARN ADMIRATION AND COMMAND RESPECT FROM OTHERS BY THRUSTING UPON THEM YOUR OWN UNCOMMON AND UNCONCERNED LIKINGS AND DISLIKINGS.

(2)

IF YOU EXPECT LOVE AND AFFECTION OF YOUR ELDERS FOR YOU, YOU SHOULD GIVE THEM A MOMENT OF HAAPINESS AND AFFORD AN OPPORTUNITY TO FEEL PROUD OF YOU.

NOBLE WAY OF PASSING LIESURE

Mitron!
Kyaa aapane kabhee sochaa hai ki aapke phursat ke kshana gujaarane kaa koi tarikaa aisaa bhee ho sakataa hai jo aapko aanand aur khushee dene ke saath saath auron ko bhee aanand aur khushee de sakataa hai. Agar aaapane is dishaa mein abhee tak nahin sochaa hai to kyaa aap sochanaa chaahenge?

Friends!
Have you ever thought that for passing your leisure there can be a way which, apart from giving pleasure and happiness to you, can also provide happiness and pleasure to others too. If you have not thought in this direction till now, then would you please like to think about such a way?

MY CONFESSION

While creating my page on this rediffiland, I have committed two major deliberate mistakes. Many times this act of mine has made me restless. I believe that my confession before my learned friends will definitely give relief to me. Therefore, I have taken a decision of confession before my friends.

Among my interests I have mentioned Peace, Co-existence of
religions, Practical approach towards religions, Learning and Sharing of

thoughts. There I have been wrong. Although I was born in a family who has been follower of Vedic religion, yet throughout my life I have been cultivating Universalism.  For me Universalism is a concept of universal religion. Vishwa vasudhaiv kutumbakam is the basis of this religion. In the religion all human beings are ruled by the principles of humanity. I consider every religion sub-set of this religion with the exception of principles, (if any) which divide this family. In Universal religion such principles do not find a place.

When cultures were developed, we had limited families. We did not know that there had been other people on the other side of a hill. They framed and advocated principles which suited them in the circumstances existing at that time in that particular region in which those had been living. We have progressed much and have succeeded in knowing others beyond that hill, we have already reached moon and today we are trying to reach on other planets. We have adopted food, uniforms and dresses which had not been used by us before and had been used by people living in other parts of this world. But we have not left our those foods and dresses which are suited to us and which we had been using before. Certainly we have left those foods and dresses in which we do not feel comfortable. For this we have every reason. If we can own others food and dresses because food and dresses adopted by others are equally suitable and useful to us also, why we cannot adopt customs and principles followed by others, which equally are beneficial to us also.  Personally I think that time has come when we should also proceed in this desired direction.

We should not forget that only those who, think about the welfare of the common, lay down the principles and frame the rules and masses only follow those principles. It is true that old habits die hard but they die in the last if one makes sincere efforts. I agree that it will take time but it is not impossible. Well you can say ?Akelaa chanaa bhaad naheein phoad sakataa?  lekin phir yah bhee toa sahee hai ki kisi ko toa pahal karani hee hogi. Somebody will have to take initiative. And for this, first step is to win over faith of others. For this we have to show mutual respect for each other. We have to find out useful principles from every religion and then reasoning behind them. For this we will have to prove worth of those principles after analyzing them scientifically. While doing so we have to be cautious of those who are hungry of crown. There are two categories of such people. People of first category are those who are hungry of power and rule. They always apply policy of divide and rule. Second category people are those who want to rule us by dictating their interpretation of religion and culture. They want that we should adopt and follow blindly whatever they say. They do not want that we should ask them about reason.

My young friends, I wish that all of you should live long and I hope that you will. I also wish that you should see and enjoy this society free from religious wars.

Second mischief which I did was that I did not disclose my real self after creating the page. There displayed name is my school name and real one. Also my email address is genuine. But there is nothing on the page to disclose my social, educational and profession life. Most of my iland friends are in their twenties and thirties. Of course a few of them are in their fifties. Only one or two of my friends are above sixty years. I wanted to talk to young people to whom I expect and who are supposed to lay down ideal principles in this society. I had not disclosed my age and profession because I was afraid of not getting good friends. All of them would have said Namaste, salaam, etc. Also many of my friends would have hesitated in telling their problems. There is a saying that when son grows to the extent that father?s shoe gets befitted in son?s foot, father should talk to his son treating him his friend. ?Jab baap kaa jootaa bete ke payar mein aane lage tab baap ko chaahiye ki wah bete ke saath mitravat vyavhaar kare.?

I have found some of my friends in utter despair in their personal life. They have left hope of restoring themselves. When I came to know about them I offered my advice to them. By God?s grace they succeeded in overcoming the difficulty. This has given me pleasure. Had I disclosed my real self, all this would not have been possible.

Some of my learned friends succeeded in recognizing me. But after that they paid me respect more than the respect they had been paying to me before recognizing me. Then I had to disclose my real self before them. Then some of them accepted me as their teacher and some of them respected me like their father. I am grateful to all of them.

For the last five months I have been absent on this iland. In this period some of my friends on this iland and on blogspot.com have written mails to me using my personal email ID. I did not want to disclose the reason. Aisaa katayee naheein hai ki main mitron se vaat naheein karanaa chaahataa thaa. Lekin kabhi kabhi chaah kar bhee manushya kuchh kar pane mein apane ko asamarth paata hai. Isakaa ek hee karana hotaa hai ki jigyaashaayen kshamataayon se badi ho jaati hai. Mere saath bhee kuchh aisa hi hai.

Reason behind this is that I had postponed some priorities for future without knowing the future. Today I think that where a person proposes to perform a noble act, he/she should do it without delay. Here nobody knows about future.

Here I am talking about my deliberate mischief. I have done wrong by not disclosing my real self. I have done this thing against my conscience. Therefore, it is a lie, it is a sin. For this I tender my apology before my friends by disclosing my real self. Recently one of my friends has left remarks on one of my posts as under:

keshav, nav varsh par shubhkaamnayen dekar kahan chale gaye? Gopiyan,,,maaf keejiyega, friends tumhen dhoond rAHE HAIN..

This has made me laugh and inspired me to say something. However, these days it is difficult for me to say something philosophical. So I thought it better to confess my faults. So here I go ?

I am an ordinary man and was born in a village in July 1945. My father was an agriculturist. My childhood name was Shri Krishna. When my father sent me to school, he gave me my name Keshav Dayal. Dayal is not my surname. My surname is Yadav which I never used even in my whole service period. I am a postgraduate in Mathematics. While doing my M. Sc. (Final) I had appeared in the Combined State Services Examination (P.C.S.). On this basis I was appointed as Sales Tax Officer (now Assistant Commissioner Commercial Taxes) in the State Government Service. After serving on various senior posts in the Taxation Department, in May 2000, I was appointed as Member Tribunal. Previous to my retirement from active service in July 2005, I had been serving as Member of U.P. Trade Tax Tribunal.

Before attaining 60 years of age, I had seen a computer but had never touched it. For me, ?html? was abbreviated form of hotmail whereas now I know Hyper Text Markup Language, Active server pages (ASP) and a bit of ASP.NET. Recently I have moderated my Web Site www.vatconcept.com and have given it a new concept. Why I am telling all this to my friends. Simply I want to support the view that where there is a will there is a way. I am thankful to my friends who have from time to time pointed out my mistakes. I did not know meaning of symbol :). Then I asked my one of my friends about the symbol. To my surprise, my that friend not only told me the meaning of the symbol :) but also told me meaning of L. The way in which my friend has replied had definitely impressed me a lot.

For my personality development, I have always followed following principles:

(i)                  If you want to be detached from this materialistic world, be equally attached to all.

(ii)                Be a true judge and always make fair assessment considering all circumstances. Don?t assess un-equals and equals with same yard stick and don?t do favour or give preference to your blood relations over human relations.

(iii)               Don?t lament for one who has passed away. Be sympathetic to those who have been left.

(iv)              Don?t fear the death. After death your relations with this mortal world will be lost and every body who has been your close associate before your death will be a third person for you having no relation with you.

(v)                Don?t betray. Vishwaasghaati naheein vishwaaspaatra bano.

(vi)              Always prove your existence and worth.

I know that most of the persons will call me a mad man doing silly things. But this is the only way for enjoying happiness and achieving  satisfaction. Khushi apanee duniyan ko seemit kar lene mein naheein, khusi apanee duniyaan kaa vistaar kar lene mein hai. Perhaps this is the reason that I am getting same respect, from persons who have been either my colleagues or my subordinates, which I had been getting when I was in active service.

Friends! My intention has not been bad. It is clear from my page on Orkut site. There I have given my true particulars. Another thing which I had concealed from my friends was that rediffiland Shri Krishna (shrikrishna8.rediffiland.com)  is only mine.

Lastly, I will like to say that I am trying to restore myself and hope that I will soon be interacting regularly. But I will always welcome my friends in their difficulties.

GOOD WISHES
