Comments on my previous blogs said that I often say things that only I understand…to me that was a huge compliment;but actually the truth is that I often write things that even I dont undestand,that precisely is why I blog so that all ur perspectives help me understand.Thank you friends..
Now before I have ppl getting caught up in the relation of the title and the blog and miss the point all together…In the topic I declare wot I intend doing in this blog..I am”Keeping It Simple Sweetheart!!!!”
My patient on a monday morning came in complaining of a splitting headache since full 7 days..”have been popping three combiflams daily but no improvement at all”he said…”I had one this morning too before I left to come here”….I was amused…I thought if it hadnt worked at all for 7 days,did he think it wud work on the 8th day…
My neighbour and her 4 yr old have this drama over drinking milk everyday…she screams and he wails…she says despite screaming ‘everyday’ he never finishes the whole glass…but still she screams daily..
“Have told him a million times” said my friend cribbing about her husband…”all in vain”said she…I said “just dont tell him yet another time please”…”she wanted to know then what to do????For now I can only say do just anything it could even be stupid,senseless,illogical…anything except, that which hasnt worked!!!!!
Dont we often get so caught up in doing things that we keep repeating the same ineffective actions over and over again and hoping that the same action will produce different resuts this time????well all I wish to convey that at regular intervals we all need to”STOP AND TAKE STOCK”

life the way one looks and observes and continues is what one calls as experience……some may call it as monotonous….can a typist stop typing…can a singer stop singing……can a temple priest stop chanting……all are set with their duties and work…….one has to perform the duties assigned by the almighty god……

I am a player. I play Table Tennis. Used to play for my state long back but now i play for a club. And why do i say this now? Well, there were a lot of times that i had to play a particular opponent more than few times and the result, if it is defeat, means i change strategy. I change my game plan. I change my approach. Guess, this experiance has helped me to implement STOP AND TAKE STOCK unconsciously. Just wanted to share.

raju bhai….stop and take stock at no time means giving up…it just means being alert enough to realise on time if ur actions are effective…
and raju…maybe this will take time to sink in yet u can “choose to be lucky”
so i was doing the same action (ineffective initially) over and over again……..that of meeting the customer…… but that same ineffective action brought me tangible results too.
see……. it all depends on circumstances too shwets. for eg. i visited a particulare customer 10 times. He did not give me any order. I persevered. I went to him another 5 more times. At last he gave me an order. and now i am doing good business with him. So was visiting him the 11th or the 15 time…… a waste…… should i have hanged up then.. thinking that i wont get the desired result? of course not…….. i would have lost lots of business then. then again…….. there is another customer whom i have never done business… but i still keep visiting him albeit at lesser intervals…. dont waste much time with him…… but at the same time dont ignore him totally also…… who knows when the hands of the clock will turn in my favour and he will start doing business with me. but then like you said, it would be stupid to continue taking those pills knowing fully well that they dint give you relief for the last one week. so it all depends on the situation and circumstance.
well your end argument is correct- stop and take stock…… but wisdom and a dash of luck too is required for that.

Often it happens we just get hanged/attached to our habit of trying the things the same way. They would have thought the things will happen that way….but just they are not bothered to see if they really give the desired result. I have got a mail with me saying about how the policies are framed(formed) in any compnay. Thatz similar to this. This is about 7 monkeys story. hope u know that. otherwise i”ll post it soon in my blog!!

while reading ur post…. i felt as if i was having my eyes checked… u know the bigger size fonts. then a bit smaller.. then a bit smaller…. well i am reading the large size fonts now………. he he he
The title says KISS but do we keep it SIMPLE.
For eg.The patient could be knowing his headache better than the doctor, may be its his regular “8day” attacks, May be the the mother know exactly wht to do with the child, because she cares for her child more than u and me.
Many times people tell u their problems NOT because they dont knw the solutions, but because its human to share and complain.
I personally feel we should K.I.S.S when we analyse people, because when we doubt there ability to take care of themselves, we doubt gods( I prefer to say nature) plans for those peoples lives.
Stop and take stock is 100% true, but do it only for ourselves not for others.
