with love from France!

(I read this dear friends…and its for you to read!)The Hindu Rate Of Wrath

When the Mahatma’s cowards erupt in fury, it hurts. It isn’t terror.

FRANCOIS GAUTIER

Is
there such a thing as ‘Hindu terrorism’, as the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya
Singh Thakur for the recent Malegaon blasts may tend to prove? Well, I
guess I was asked to write this column because I am one of that rare
breed of foreign correspondents? a lover of Hindus! A born Frenchman,
Catholic-educated and non-Hindu, I do hope I’ll be given some credit
for my opinions, which are not the product of my parents’ ideas, my
education or my atavism, but garnered from 25 years of reporting in South Asia (for Le Journal de Geneve and Le Figaro).

In the early 1980s, when I started freelancing in south India,
doing photo features on kalaripayattu, the Ayyappa festival, or the
Ayyanars, I slowly realised that the genius of this country lies in its
Hindu ethos, in the true spirituality behind Hinduism. The average
Hindu you meet in a million villages possesses this simple, innate
spirituality and accepts your diversity, whether you are Christian or
Muslim, Jain or Arab, French or Chinese. It is this Hinduness that
makes the Indian Christian different from, say, a French Christian, or
the Indian Muslim unlike a Saudi Muslim. I also learnt that Hindus not
only believed that the divine could manifest itself at different times,
under different names, using different scriptures (not to mention the
wonderful avatar concept, the perfect answer to 21st century religious strife) but that they had also given refuge to persecuted minorities from across the world?Syrian Christians, Parsis,
Jews, Armenians, and today, Tibetans. In 3,500 years of existence,
Hindus have never militarily invaded another country, never tried to
impose their religion on others by force or induced conversions.

You cannot find anybody less fundamentalist than a Hindu in the
world and it saddens me when I see the Indian and western press
equating terrorist groups like SIMI, which blow up innocent civilians,
with ordinary, angry Hindus who burn churches without killing anybody.
We know also that most of these communal incidents often involve
persons from the same groups?often Dalits and tribals?some of who have
converted to Christianity and others not.

However reprehensible the destruction of Babri Masjid, no Muslim
was killed in the process; compare this to the ‘vengeance’ bombings of
1993 in Bombay, which wiped out hundreds of innocents, mostly Hindus. Yet the Babri Masjid destruction is often described by journalists as the more horrible act of the two. We also remember how Sharad Pawar, when he was chief minister of Maharashtra in 1993, lied about a bomb that was supposed to have gone off in a Muslim locality of Bombay.

I have never been politically correct, but have always written what
I have discovered while reporting. Let me then be straightforward about
this so-called Hindu terror. Hindus, since the first Arab invasions,
have been at the receiving end of terrorism, whether it was by Timur,
who killed 1,00,000 Hindus in a single day in 1399, or by the Portuguese Inquisition which crucified Brahmins in Goa.
Today, Hindus are still being targeted: there were one million Hindus
in the Kashmir valley in 1900; only a few hundred remain, the rest
having fled in terror. Blasts after blasts have killed hundreds of
innocent Hindus all over India in the last four years. Hindus, the
overwhelming majority community of this country, are being made fun of,
are despised, are deprived of the most basic facilities for one of
their most sacred pilgrimages in Amarnath
while their government heavily sponsors the Haj. They see their
brothers and sisters converted to Christianity through inducements and
financial traps, see a harmless 84-year-old swami and a sadhvi brutally
murdered. Their gods are blasphemed.

So sometimes, enough is enough. At some point, after years or even
centuries of submitting like sheep to slaughter, Hindus?whom the
Mahatma once gently called cowards?erupt in uncontrolled fury. And it
hurts badly. It happened in Gujarat. It happened in Jammu, then in
Kandhamal, Mangalore, and Malegaon. It may happen again elsewhere. What
should be understood is that this is a spontaneous revolution on the
ground, by ordinary Hindus, without any planning from the political
leadership. Therefore, the BJP, instead of acting embarrassed, should
not disown those who choose other means to let their anguished voices
be heard.

There are about a billion Hindus, one in every six persons on this
planet. They form one of the most successful, law-abiding and
integrated communities in the world today. Can you call them
terrorists?

Be’imaan!!!

Sau me se 99 be’imaan, usmein shamil tera bhi aur mera bhi imaan!
lots of activity is going on in our country these days…the fears of recession, the elections and the turmoil in the minds of Indians after the mumbai attacks…everybody has been thinking why? why innocents loose their lives in this manner.there have been protests all arround…..then, there was a deputy CM, who shrugged all this aside with one remark of his, “itne bade shaher mein ye sab to hota rehta hai“.
I saw celebreties protesting in the streets, venting their anger in TV screens, one Ms preety zinta asked for the accountability of the govt, claiming she pays her hard earned money as tax…honestly…..then one Mrs manyata sanjay dutt went to the extent of saying that she pays salary to her servents, and deserves good service from them in return, similarly, she pays salary to the beaurocrates and politicians by way of her taxes……..and she demands better service!…shall i ask if they are honest in paying their taxes?
thousands of protesters all across the nation expressed anger….lighting candles,as homage to the victims!…………strange country …….coz people dont even pay attention when ,in a  similar case, the terrorist caught alive at the batala house is offered legal assistance by the mulayams and the congress goes to the extent of questioning the integrity of the encounter itself, where a senior police officer of delhi lost his life….
strange country indeed, coz when the whole country was is shock of the ongoing mumbai attack,in thursday….there is one ms arundhati roy who was prompt to comment “aakhir is desh mein alpsankhyako(read muslims) ko adhikar hi kahan hai, isliye aatankwaad to hona hi hai“…….and she has the brilliance to comment this for a country where below fifteen percent of the population has already given 2 Presidents and many chief ministers, and the three khans with the legendry yusuf khan and the numurous Ustads!…..shame on you arundhati!
and even stranger are the people here , all demand accountability and expect honesty from the politicians even after knowing that even the election commission has allowed these politicians to spend lakhs and lakhs of rupees in election. do we know if the salary they get in office is enough or more than the amount they spend to reach there?….its peanut in comparison…..then why has the election commission allowed them to spend them such huge amounts,……is it an investment?
Big big industralists  expressed concern over the grave situation…..demanding better governance,(while being careful enough not to speak against the ruling parties)….are they honest in their taxes, are they honest in complaying with all the guidelines maintained in the Industrial and Labour Laws?
How naive they are then,to expect a better conduct from the rest!
The great great middle class of our country, the real power of our economy….is now awake,is on streets demanding Imaandari from the politicians……and i wonder how many of us pay our taxes with imaandari…..except for the salaried class, who are majboor to pay on source……and how we are always ready to corrupt others….ready to bribe and corrupt the TTE for a nights comfort in train….
and ..last but not the least….the great..and hardworking ..and honest farmers of our Country…becharey farmers….they dont have to pay taxes…but they are allways willing to bribe and corrupt the Govt clerk who weighs their grains in the Govt mandi…..they are not willing to take the pains of organic fertilisers, they opt for the easier chemical pesticides….coz they dont have to see the after effects…bechare farmers,…and the noblest of us all, the milk men….doodhwalas…big dairy walas…..bechare production badhaney ke liye phoren tak se harmones le aate hain,to inject upon their cattle,so that they give more milk for us!…….who cares for the after effect anyway….
and then there are the politicians….even in public meetings they have their bisleri bottles in the tables to drink water from,be it in a metro or a remote village…..coz,they cant drink the water they provide the people to drink…their people….and these are our leaders…..
then there is the great secular congress….the messiah of the muslims in this country,…and the amazing thing is that, even the muslims consider them better….the congress which limited the poor muslims to the madrasas….never allowing them to mix up with other classes, and hence limiting their growth….if urdu language is the reason, why not urdu has been included in our courses as the third language optionally….close down the madarsas, give them an opportunity to mix up with other sections of the society…provide them scientific education along with the option of learning urdu too!
……….such an strange country…sabjiwala kaanta marega, petrol pump wala kerosine milaega, gas wala black marketing karega…hum sab log tax chori karenge…..fir bhi sirf politicians ko gali denge…
kamaaal hai na!

Azaadi?????

Azaadi ?????

Quoting Ms. Arundhati Roy, from The Outlook, “For all these years, the Indian  state, known among the
knowing, as the Deep state, has done everything to subvert, suppress,
represent, misrepresent, discredit, interpret, intimidate, purchase- and simply
snuff out the voices of the Kashmiri people. It has used money (lots of it),
violence (lots of it), disinformation, propaganda, elaborate networks of
collaborators and informers, terror, imprisonment, black mail and rigged
elections to subdue what democrats would call "the will of the people".

I wonder as to the reason of her awakening, or is she repaying the booker, or
whatever she has got. She is almost blasphemous, and I feel, that she is
going the Salman Rushdie way, easiest way to gather mass attention.

She is brutal in her charges. Has she ever been to the Pak occupied Kashmir? Has she witnessed the state of
people living there? How it has become the harem of the riches of
Pakistan, how the ladies there are raped and
are not even heard?… If POK is that well off, why the young of POK are
turning into terrorists, why are they not studying?

I would like her to state which peaceful Kashmiri has been tortured or shot at
by our military? Whole world has seen thee Kashmiris protesting with Paki flags
in their hands. How would have been that possible if Indian Govt was as
torturous as she states. Does she know how many soldiers have died in Kashmir? Is her eyesight strong enough to
see the ethnic cleansing that has been done in the
Kashmir valley? Has she ever taken note of
the plight of Kashmiri Pandits, who have been forced to leave their homeland,
and all their property, and are forced to live as refugees…in their own
country! Has she been there to meet the family which was recently held captive
at Jammu, by the terrorists, and who lost two of their family, for no reason at
all., and we lost four of our soldiers. Has she met the widows of soldiers
who have died not in a war, but in their domestic duty? Has she been there to
meet the Kashmiri students who are studying at all places in
India, who are being supported by the
Govt. She is talking
Kashmir? Has she been inside the valley deep enough to meet the
local farmers, like Abdul Majeed, who is crying with his rotten apples, and who
desperately wants to sell his apples to the rest of
India? Has she taken his view on the
stand of the separatists? Has she asked him if he has ever been
manipulated and tortured by his own country?

Ms Roy! Jaiye apni dukandari kahi aur chalaiye. We dont need people like you
and Rushdie and that lady taslima.

And let me add that it's us who should demand to
our Govt. that we want azaadi from
Kashmir! We don't want out hard
earned money to be wasted in billions every month in
Kashmir. Let them go, let the
valley be alone, let them go to
Pakistan, or to wherever they
want….and then, we don't want a single Kashmiri Muslim in
India. Throw away whatever of
the valley is left after POK. We don't want them. We don't want
Kashmir!

(I don't
know how my dear friends will react to this outburst, but I just couldn't help
it friends.)

The fiasco that is..

ek hi ullu kaafi hai, barbaad gulistaan karne ko,
har shaakh pe ullu baitha hai, anjamein gulistan kya hoga!

bas doston yahi to scene hai hamare Indian leadership ka, ya yon kahen ki contemporary Leadership ka.
Tamasha laga rehta hai….issues and non issues, aur jo issues rehte hain wo bhi manmohan singh ki tarah non existant hote hain.mahine bhar ke kayas lagaye jaane ke baad aaj aakhir sarkar bach gayi, aur aap ye baat jaan lein ki is sarkar ke bach jaane se BJP and LEFT ko chhodkar ek tisri shakti bhi thi jo dukhi hui, no i am not talking abt Behenji, its the electornic media, jo hatya aur balatkar ki badaulat zinda rehti hai, balatkar chahe kisi masoom ka ho, ya hamare desh ka ho,unka aahaar yahi hai.khair, the media is now sad,do dino ke baad unhe fir koi nayi sansani dhoondni padegi.(baring NDTV)
ye netagiri bhi ajab cheej hai! isme ek hi usool dikhai deta hai,wo hai ki aapko netagiri karni hai,….kiski neta giri, kaise aadarsh,….swyambhu neta!
ab aajkal ke neta ko dekh lijiye, hamare speaker sahab…somnath ji! jis party se chun kar aaye, unhone ne hi unse marne ko kaha, aur hamare somnath ji bhi Bhishm pitamah ki tarah aade rahe, kaha mai apni ichha se marunga, jab date aayege to mai khud resign kar dunga!
ujaad biyabaan mein bhi, viraangi ka balaatkaar karta koi ped dikhai de jata hai, par hamare bhare pure Neta jamaat mein ek to aisa bargad dikhai deta jis se hum mein kisi aasha ka sanchaar hota……Hatya balatkar chara ghotala extortion jaise nikrisht aapradh waale log jab Atomic energy jaise maslo per decision lenge to “Khuda khair kare”…….

(to be continued…….)
ps: dear friends i wanted to post it in Devnagri(hindi script)…but again the rediff played villain…

The Fall of Icarus!

My thoughts et random…..
(the credit of these thoughts go to the scriptwriter of the movie Holiday too!)

I”ve found almost everything ever written about love to be true. Shakespeare said “Journeys end in lovers meeting.” What an extraordinary thought. Personally, I have not experienced anything remotely close to that, but I am more than willing to believe Shakespeare had. I suppose I think about love more than anyone really should. I am constantly amazed by its sheer power to alter and define our lives. It was Shakespeare who also said “love is blind”. Now that is something I know to be true. For some quite inexplicably, love fades; for others love is simply lost. But then of course love can also be found, even if just for the night. And then, there”s another kind of love: the cruelest kind. The one that almost kills its victims. Its called unrequited love. Of that I am an expert. Most love stories are about people who fall in love with each other. But what about the rest of us? What about our stories, those of us who fall in love alone? We are the victims of the one sided affair. We are the cursed of the loved ones. We are the unloved ones, the walking wounded. The handicapped without the advantage of a great parking space! Yes, you are looking at one such individual. And I have willingly loved  for all these miserable days! The absolute worst days of my life! The worst evening”, the worst mornings, nights brought in by tears and valium. These days that I have been in love have been the darkest days of my life. All because I”ve been cursed by being in love with someone who does not and will not love me back. Oh god, ….why i did it….?
I understand feeling as small and as insignificant as humanly possible. And how it can actually ache in places you didn”t know you had inside you. And it doesn”t matter how many new haircuts you get, or gyms you join, or how many glasses of bacardi you drink with your friends… you still go to bed every night going over every detail and wonder what you did wrong or how you could have misunderstood. And how in the hell for that brief moment you could think that you were that happy. And sometimes you can even convince yourself that she”ll see the light and call you back. And after all that, however long all that may be, you”ll go somewhere new. And you”ll meet people who make you feel worthwhile again. And little pieces of your soul will finally come back. And all that fuzzy stuff, those parts of your life that you wasted, that will eventually begin to fade….and again it will be repeated…
all i did was dream of you….

why Icarus had to desire for the Sun….why…

The less I see her, the more I hate her:
The more I hate her, the less anger I feel.
The more I adore her, the less it means:
The more I flee her, the more I want her near.
Love with hate, & pleasure with pain,
The two arrows fall on me in a single rain.

In love with sand!

Oh my longing for love made me vagabond ..

And where has this journey brought me .

Out in a desert .

No solace does this desert provide

No green tree for shelter and to hide

All I could see was sand .and only sand

Sand however hard I tried to run

I landed in sand vast sea of sand..

The sun shining fiercely..giving its heat to the sand..

And the sand bathed in a beautiful golden glow

Ahhh! Did I say beautiful?

Why do I feel so ..or is it?

This is the sand and only the sand

All around me .all over me..

and ready to embrace me

sharing my solitude

sharing my agony

once i succumb to her charms

promising to end it all!

I warned her .oh sweetheart

I am the wind do not love me..

I may blow you away .in my vagabondage..

She laughed opened her arms

And said am here to be blown away my love

Come take me to the new horizons

Where we make love just me and you

And so I succumbed

I fell in love with the sand oh beautiful sand

The sheltering heat of day, provided warmth in a winter
night..

The icy coldness of night provided me the soothing in a warm
desert

Oh how much I love you .my sand!

Be a refuge for my pained soul always!

For look! Within my hollow hand,

While round the earth careens,

I hold a single grain of sand

And wonder what it means.

Ah! If I had the eyes to see,

And brain to understand,

I think Life”s mystery might be

Solved in this grain of sand .

The more I flee her…the nearer I am..

The more she hurts me the more in love I am

Love with hate, & pleasure with pain,

The two arrows fall on me in a single reign my reign!

(Dear friends…….its long i know….pls bear with me)

tune of tango..!

there was once in this wilderness…a land of dreams…
where the winds brought fragrances of her,
and the rains tempted to get burnt…
its been ages hence..
the winds burning now..
and nowhere the rains…
all one could feel was…
ruins and lasting pains…

ohhh,whats this sudden tenderness
thats making me heal…
is it the fragrant wind again
that i feel..
the barren land…
is it fighting now to bloom again..
oh distant clouds..
are you going to rain..
and make me dance to the tune of tango again….!

lost in love!

A warm sensation fills my body
My heart races with every touch
The
softness of your voice soothes
My soul
As I lay there hoping the
moment
Will never end
Calling out for you
Praying that you”ll never let
me go
The sensation so strong
I can no longer feel my body
Slowly I
fade in and out of reality
In an instant the warm sensation
Fades
away
My heart empty
My soul torn apart
Lying there; wondering where I
went
Wrong
Calling out for you, only to find
there is no answer
My
mind invaded with thoughts
So cruel and unrefined
The sensation of fear of
what”s to come
Slowly the reality over powering
The lust and
fantasy
Leaving me empty
Confused on how to think or feel
The
loneliness I feel
So wretched and compelled
Betrayal to
myself
Revealing the terrors of my love
