I am…
Posted in Poetry on 04/29/2009 07:39 am by alakananda sI am Earth
Raw, passionate,
Fragrantly alive
In my cool bluegreens
And lusty reds
Deep, sensuous,
Warm, musty, abundant
Vibrant, mysterious
I am River
Overflowing limits
Of bonding banks
Sinuous, laughing
Tremulous, turbulent
Stretching lithe curves
On the way to join
My deep blue sea
I am Sea
Eternal, longing
Unconquered depths
Of timeless treasures
Forbidden mystery
Tireless, beckoning
Fathomless, calm
Stormy, tempestuous
I am Mountain
Silent, menacing
Darkly brooding
Secret caves
Of hidden turmoil
Fiery passions
Of violent fervor
Cooling mists
Serene, tranquil
I am Earth
River
Sea
Mountain
I am Woman
Woman…beautiful, isn”t she?

good,gr8 and joyous, beautiful and free..kudos…i was in kanyakumari just recently for a wedding…pechiparia, thirparapoo, thongu paalam, colachel, muttom and cape last week..all in a day….never question the origin of rivers and rishis they say….next time i am going to kalakaadu and the hills with the tigers, bootleggers, the loin-tailed mucocks and the ellefants….vairamuthu in one of his catchy songs likens the mountains to breasts and the river forced between as milk shake…went to a marriage at JEBAMALAI KALYANA MANDAP…and lo and behold i espy the PD PILLAI MAHAL…..i keep asking my dad…whence are the pillais and nairs…what then are we MEN…FIRE…devouring, hot, leaping, merciless, contagious, suffocating, visible, forever in search of our old flames….tamed only by WATER…..WATER WAY TO GO….but we keep firing and firing
Ente amme. Bow to you amma, mother earth, elements of the sea, the wind, the hills and the rivers. Vandanam.
