Is the world going crazy?
A couple of days ago, a certain Malayalam film director T Rajeevnath said he’s considering casting Paris Hilton as Mother Teresa in an upcoming film. Don’t believe me? Read the Sun story.
Now, as you can imagine, this has to rank among the most bizarre casting decisions ever. Assuming that this was some flaky director who had a couple of consolation ribbons in amateur contests, I asked a colleague to do a background check on Mr Rajeevnath.
Imagine my surprise when I’m told that he’s won at least 2 National Awards, and is a highly regarded Malayalam producer/director.
What in the world could be going on here? Has the sensitive senior filmmaker lost his marbles, or has he really enjoyed watching The Simple Life?
On a related note, Monica Bellucci’s reportedly in talks to star as Sonia Gandhi in Jag Mundhra’s upcoming biopic. While I drool over the delectable Mon, this is almost as absurd as Mother Hilton, not least because of Jag Mundhra’s extensive backgrounding in sleazy cinema. Why is that man making a biopic?
For God’s sake, Jag, give the Meghna Naidus of the world some work and leave filmmaking to the directors.

It is the correct casting. Theresa was one of the biggest frauds in
history, and deserves to be played by one of the sleaziest biatches in
the world.
Check out Jag Mundhra’s ‘Kamla’ and I bet you will give him more credit
and respect as a filmmaker!
yes Kamal Hassan is the lead man in this movie and Mohanlal too has a
role…seems to be a good star cast, baring Paris Skeleton.

I think the director gonna mad. dont he know who were Mother Theresa
and who is Paris Hilton. It’s insult of Mother Theresa if Paris Hilton going
to do the role as Mother Theresa. Couldn’t director find out a good actor
in India?
Paris Hilton as Mother Theresa. I am not exactly sure why is somebody
so bent on insulting Mother.

I was rather amused by this silly piece of news… though nothing to take
seriously, honestly…as if Paris Hilton (who, by the way I think is uglier
than her chihuahua) will accept an offer from this nobody(Rajeevnath or
whatever he is called) publicity-hungry director. Looks like he just got
bored one fine morning and went on a mouth-shooting spree! Thanks for

she can be given a different role in movies ;)… hope ppl can understand that…
Whoever came up with this idea…is brilliant as he/she will get all the
publicity( if negative so be it…like it matters)…from all over the world….

What’s wrong with this… when I watch this movie I will just watch it. I

I think anybody reading the story of casting Paris Hilton as Mother
Theresa will have a shock…and the one who will be shocked the most
will be none other than Paris herself…

boss or Rajeevnath want Monica (drool drool) or Paris (all bones no boner), I
