As u have rightly said our feelings about our mother tongue is in our emotional part and it is very dear to us.I too went through a similar experience just like u had in SFO. Only thing is we landed in Dallas airport and was excited to find a tamil family conversing in Sendhamizh!! Romba mozhi patrulla tamizhano!!:-) Vaazha Tamizh!!
