“Laali merey Laalki….. Jit Dekhun Tit Laal…
Laali dekhan Main gaee… Main bhee ho gaee Laal…
("I behold the resplendence of my beloved Lord wherever I see; as I went in search of him, I too became dyed in His colour."
Kabir thus beautifully expresses his deep love for the divine wherein he eventually becomes one with Him and loses himself in divine bliss and beatific joy. He finds Him wherever he looks, inside or outside him, as he basks in the glory of the Lord. :)))

aapke ”woh” bahot achcha gaate hai. masha allah, mughal-e-azam se Bade Ghulam Ali Khan ji ki yaad aa gayi…
will listen to it 2nite at home…. n kabir n his dohas wonderful… he said so many things with so minimal words….thx for sharing..
beautiful poetry….
Jab Mein Tha Tab Hari Nahin‚ Jab Hari Hai Mein Nahin,
Sab Andhiyara Mit Gaya‚ Jab Deepak Dekhya Mahin = When “I” was then Hari was not, Now Hari “is” and “I” am not,
All the darkness (illusions) mitigated, When I saw the light (illumination) within.
He is really good! Can I be candid? I find his singing style more down my line…. Which gharana he is trained after? I find a hint of Mevati gharana in his randition…. With the clarity of diction and the voice modulations… and still the imitation of Pandit Jasraj ( which is invariably there, woefully, in all his desciples) is conspicuous by its absence…. And on the other hand there is this typically Marathi flavour of some great marathi singers ( the powerpacked voice…) reciting Tukaram’’s abhangs… There seems to be a heady blend of styles! Wonderful.
This is perfect combination of Words, Ideasm Picture, Sound and Laal
Will listen very soon. Thanks a lot for sharing. (Rahul)
wow..ur hubby has a very good voice
honestly, enjoyed listening, Prachi. thanx for the translations!
Wonderful. And I FU has done a wonderful job with the translation… U know that is the gr8 thing about gr8 poetry. It has more than one meaning or several possible interpretations. Tumhare Pati dev bahut badhiya gaate hain!
Your hubby’’s voice is truly impressive and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. Reminded me of a great piece in the same Raga by Bade Gulam Ali Khan in the movie Mughul-e- Azam , namely ”Prem Jogan Banke”…FG ‘’s translation is beautiful. We call this raag Hamsananda in carnatic………PGR
Hey dost, Sameer is brilliant! Wow! Yours is a very special jodi…kitni sundar jugalbandi banayi hai khuda nay…loves n hugs to both..:)))

Can” t wait for your song -because of my limitations in understanding - like my good buddy Frozn Sun. Always love the art work you put on there -beautiful. :)))))))))))) Take care
Pra.. pls explain.. i cant follow hindi that well..
That is merger with the divine. Love supreme. As we merge with the divine bliss, melt and become one. Everything appears divine as self expands and engulfs all. Its just love and pure serene divine love everywhere. Kabir, in one of his famous couplets, paints it all with such divine grace. Thanks Pra for reminding of these beautiful lines. Now, may we have some music too..:)))
