Madhavikutty’s strength , as I see it , was her honesty in expressing what she felt , including confessions of her weaknesses. She has always yearned for love . It was that vulnerability that made her leave Kerala, the place she loved and relocate to Pune , where she was when she died. Kerala was not kind to her when she adopted islam as her religion. That was another contradiction in her. One cannot understand why she needed to change her religion because she essentially remained the same person inside the purdah she started donning. In one of her interviews she said that she never again wanted to come back as a human being because she had had her fill of misery . She preferred to come back as a bird or a plant or a tree. She was crazy and inconsistent all right but in a very endearing kind of way. What was constant about her was her love .

    Hi, Freedom

I’ve missed your comments. Pl. do read my latest post on big personalities.

  8. HariOm Chawla says

Your comments about Hinduisim are very apt, Freedom. In fact, Hinduism is not a religion in the sense in which Christianity or Islam are. It is not confined to any particular book, god or ritual. In fact, if you don’t believe in existence of God, then also you can be a Hindu. In our Upnishads, it has been openly debated whether God is there or not. One of our very important books, Sankhya Sutra, which may be called fore-runner of Geeta as well as Patanjali’s Yog Sutras, does not state about God. Existence is there due to all-prevading ‘aakash’ and the flowing energy ‘prana’. A man achieves divinity through Knolwledge, meditation, bhakti, and karma and becomes ‘purush’ without interference of any godly power. We can say that Hindus are the most rational, broad-minded and their thought process and beliefs are not confined to parameters laid down by any particular book or incarnation. The so-called pseudo hindu zealots are very few in numbers and are just reactions.

U and your best friend Devyani (aka Shahjadi) are famous… check FU’s GB and enjoy.

I have hid this message and wish to remain out of any controversy. I knew Deviyani and will always respect her, but I don’t understand what is expected of me here. For this message and the one on my GB, I see that you would be the best judge.

    Regards,
    Rahul

  15. Freedom Unbound says

Divyani, go back and spend time with your lovely kids and hubby. Stop this business of Shahjadi. You are being misguided.

  16. Freedom Unbound says

Divyani (Shahjadi), my dear sis, its quite sad. I never expected this from you. I care two hoots about Think Tank and I am not scared of anyone. Go back to your guru and learn. You have made it so obvious its you. Please stop this. YOU are instigating LL. Yes, I am the biggest flirt on this earth. You wanna flirt with me, your good old brother? I flirt with all good woman on earth. Yes, I admire LL and love her. Any problems? She is one of the most outstanding women I have ever come across.

  17. Shahjadi says

Lissome Lady bitching in your GB? Wah! Mere comments to delete kar diye, apne comments show karke badi himmatwal banti ho? Sabse pahle maine kuchh nahi kiya tha, but you deleted my comment. Mujhe laga why are you so scared? There must be some thing worth hiding?

Aur ya to tum ya fir tumhara deewana Freedom. Tum me se ek ne ek fake profile banaya Shahjada ke naam par. Gande gande comments likhe mere GB par. Mujhe threat diya, daraya dhamkaya. Aur pata nahi mujhe kaun samajh kar bhala bura kaha. Maine to sirf itna poochha tha ki tumhare husband ko pata hai Free ke saath tumhari dosti aur aisi batein? Aur tumne itna pata nahi kya kya bhala bura kaha mujhe.

And you are answering me here on Free’s GB. And Free is showing some bhakti bhaw :) I don’t know why are you people so scared of those two people. That idiot abuser Shahjada was also taking thier names. Jo dar gaye woh mar gaye. You are ridiculing Devyani here? :) chu chu chu.. You are so scared.. and you are so hateful… :)

  18. Freedom Unbound says

    yeah you are right!
I dont write or participate in controversial subjects .. primarily coz I get hurt and disturbed easily by personal remarks.. you take care.. and have a wonderful weekend..

  33. Aria says

Kuch khaas nahi.. someone was arguing with me needlessly and unprovoked here and.. as you know – I am hyper… I thought – what the hell . .why am I wasting time over trivial .. when I could be doing something meaningful in that time.. I deleted everything just for the heck of it .. in that fit .. phir thodi der ke baad .. gussa utar gaya.. heh… it happens to me all the time over here.. I never delete anything elsewhere.. idhar pata nahi kya ho jaata hai .. baar baar..

  34. Aria says

ok that felt better.. some ‘old blgger pals’ I’ve known on my other page are after me to get published and that I am wasting my time on blogs.. I guess they over-estimate me.. so you know .. that was also what I tried to incorporate in my latest confusion.. hehe thank you.

thank you for leading me on to such an informative article..i didn’t know that mr rao was the brain behind math labs..when id started teaching tenth in may,i had grumbled initially for having to handle practicals too along with the text book..but when i started doing them along with the children,i found them to be so enjoyable..wish ICSE too does something like this to make their mathematics interesting..

Thanks for your comments on “Jeevan”. I agree that the lesson and perhaps even the title could have been better formatted. But the lesson, as I could see it, was not for negating religions, but at emphasising the fact of oneness of humanity even when different people follow different religions. In fact, in the malayalam version of the text, there are several assignments, topics to be discussed that aims at getting the children to see that the essential spirit of all religions is love for the other human being.

  49. Charu Govil says

Thanks for replying to my message. When ever you get time, please keep visiting.

Hey Freedom.. yeah for the time being I am back (for the umpteenth time). Some ppl were kind enough and kept asking for another comeback.. I am not sure why I keep running away.. its too addictive and kills so much of my time.. *sigh* I thought of dropping by and letting you know but as usual saw you busy here and there in strange debates heheh .. your iLand otherwise seemed deserted in terms of new posts.. and then I like the new Buddha on my other space more :D if you know what I mean .. thanks much .. :D
