A Father

Father! - to God himself we cannot give a holier name.  ~William Wordsworth

Dad, you’re someone to look up to no matter how tall I’ve grown.  ~Author Unknown

Old as she was, she still missed her daddy sometimes.  ~Gloria Naylor

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard.  Mother
would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.”  “We’re not
raising grass,” Dad would reply.  “We’re raising boys.”  ~Harmon
Killebrew

These are some of the quotes that I saw in a site today… As I sat thinking about the truth in these quotes, realized that being a father is a tough task. While a mother looks after her child with usually love and affection, a father’s method may be a little different.. He always tries to develop his son or daughter into a better and responsible human being..
Sometimes a father tends to be strict, but most of the time it’s for welfare of his own lad..
As I have said in earlier posts, nobody can ever take the place of parents…
Many of people think that a boy usually gets attached more to his mother than his father and a girl more to her father than mother.. It’s true in our family also.. I am more attached to my mother.. But it doesn’t deprecate the importance of a father.. A man who works whole day and comes by 6 or 7 in the evening, exhausted from work, and then tries to satisfy the needs of his family too and make them enjoy life to the fullest….
Before the B-Tech days, when I was at home, papa sometimes came home earlier, and then asked us whether we want to go to shopping, or to any intented place.. I am youngest in our family of two brothers and one sister;and so he always asked me where I wanted to go.. he says,” What is the use of such business or job when a person doesn’t get much time for his family?” For him, earning money is definitely appreciable but not before the family.
My father is very down-to-earth… He lives for his family, and works for them..I respect him a lot…My friends sometimes say,” why do u talk so much with ur parents on the phone?Grow up”  I may be lil less grown up, but I think that no one else can be like parents, and when they have done so much for us, I should leave no oppurtunity to show respect and my affection to them and at least I can talk with them in 2-3 days time, it just takes 10-15 mins, but my parents feel that they have a good son, who is not moved by the fast development of Delhi so much to forget them….
           Thanx for ur patience……Happy father’s day…………..
                                                                    Luv,
                                                                                                  Rishh…

It’s boring sometimes!

Hello friends,Bollywood is entertaining us for about 80 years… Different types of movies have come and gone;some created impact on the intelligent general public and rest of them created impact on just the team related with that film..
Yesterday I saw the movie Tashan… The movie was slightly less than average.. and I am sometimes amazed and most of the time feel bored with the same storyline, and ‘farzi ka tashan’ shown in such type of movies… More of a fairy tales are most of the movies with negligible sense of reality.. Francly speaking, after TZP, no other movie has been so much worth watching for me.
These type of movies have more or less same storyline, a gangster, goggles, girls of ’size zero’ etc… mostly copied by some hollywood flick… arre yaar kya love story aur ye gangster etc ki story ke alawa koi fresh story nahi hai in producers ke paas.. some of the yashraj films are so disappointing, like this one… just watch it for the acting for akki, and anil..
I wonder whether some of the producers have no mind of their own, that they keep copying from hollywood (I’m NOT pointing towards Yash Ji) ? And when asked, they express it beautifully in words,” It’s not a copy, it’s ‘inspired’ by that movie”… Only public knows what’s the reality…
Whenever I come across some hollywood movie having some scene similar to a bolly movie that I have seen earlier, most likely I and my friends jump onto conclusion that this scene is copied by the bollywood producer from this movie; as we know the nature of those producers..
Look at Aamir Khan;his choice of movies like TZP, DCH, RDB etc is really amazing… There may be some unreal aspects in these movies also, but there is more sense of reality than fiction…
Most of the public like these kind of movies like OSO, KKHH etc because in a 3 hours time, they want a complete entertainment.. May be not touched with reality, but full masala of comedy, emotion and drama… Well, I respect their feelings, as I also liked some of these movies, as they were full entertainer.. But at the same time, I simply love the movies like Swades, TZP, Black etc which were emotional and ended up giving a good message. Today, when the mentality of most of people are going corrupt, with the increased cases of rape, murder, theft etc, the only medium that can contribute to the welfare of society and cleaning up the mind of people is screen, big or small…
With the kind of serials emerging on TV which shows family breakups, extramarital affairs, and movies which show dominance of evil over good, and many of people follow it, where will our society go? I think a good movie or TV serial should end up giving a good message, whether expressed as comedy or drama… I remember good comedy serials like Hadh Kar di, Hum Saath Aath hai, and comedy films like Munnabhai, which had no bullshits, but only realistic comedy arising from situations, and gave a good message in the end…
BTW, I want to say that I am no against to unrealistic movies; I also like thrill, horror and suspense type of films, with none related to reality, just for the sake of entertainment, but the type of movies touching my heart is definitely preferred…..
                              Thank u for ur patience…
                                                                               Bye n tc…
                                                                                            Love, Rishh.

A Singer

This is another post of mine about music.. u may be thinking that this guy is a music freak… ya ,i am, and as I have already told u my choice of music, it’s hindi soft music, especially from old films..So focussing again on soft hindi music, I am again here to bore u… ;-)          What is a singer? A singer is a person, who reflects the feel of songs to ur heart..It may be any kind of music in any language, like English or Hindi, in any genre like hip-hop,jazz, oldie, country or alternative.. If it’s a hip-hop song, with rocking music, like that of 50 cents or Akon, ur feets are by themselves start to dance along with it… Similarly if it’s a soft song like ‘Hero’ by Enrique, u are feeling touched in your heart..
Coming back to Hindi music, whenever we hear a lovely song by old singers like Rafi,Mukesh , Kishore and Lata, and by new singers like Sonu, Shaan, KK and Atif,  the songs start to touch deeply in our hearts.. Such is the beauty of music, and if sung well, the song that it can melt down rocks, and can cause burning in water.. Today it’s not possible to do such kinda stuff possible, but definitely a touchy song can bring tears to our eyes.
A singer, no matter what his actual nature is, must get into the words of his song, and feel them to his heart, to convey his message through his song, to the audience’s hearts.. I can say this coz I am also much addicted to music.. as u see, my name also comes from the seven notes of music
(Re: rishabh from Sa Re Ga Ma). Once, I won first prize in the category of light music solo..and 2-3 more prizes.. I can understand that if u are singing by heart, it will definitely reach the heart of some person.. When Lata sang the famous ‘Ae mere watan ke logon’, it brought tears to the eyes of Mr Nehru, the then prime minister of India… He was very moved by the wordings of the song and the sense of pain in LataJi’s voice.. If a singer can touch the heart of a minister, definitely it can touch that of public.
Just singing at a high pitch or just uttering words, like in hip-hop, is not real singing in my opinion.. it’s just a quality of an individual to sing in high pitch or uttering words frequently in one breath.. but if he can sing in high pitch and still maintaining the ’sur’ and ‘taal’ well, then that’s the real singing, otherwise everyone could become a singer.
My suggestions to all of u wanting to make a career in singing, that grab oppurtunity whatever is seen to u, even the slightest, may seem difficult at once, but when u are got into it, it will become better everytime; also, work on ur voice, listen to the type of songs u prefer and sing aloud, along with it.. try singing as the artist, even try more, even better than him… will work definitely.. also, practice is the keyword, whatever u do; so do ‘riyaz’ on a piano or harmonium, whatever u have, of the seven notes of music.. u will definitely observe a glow in ur voice very soon… believe in destiny, but most importantly, believe in urself… never lose hope… U will rock one day…
                                               Love,
                                                               Urs only, Rishabh.

Team Spirit

I visited the official website of Rajasthan Royals today, seen their individual players’ stats and the team overall performance, and analyzed that it’s not only a single player’s game, who goes on making records but the final result is not fovourable for his team, but a full team game, which is helping rajasthan royals to win one game after other.. I don’t know whether they’ll win the IPL tournament, but the way they are playing is really amazing, and if they win, it will not be a surprise.. It’s simply amazing to know that such a low priced team, as $67, and not having any of the big names like Sachin, Sourav, Dravid, Dhoni,Ponting,Gilchrist is performing so well on the field.. If u take a look at each player stats, there are only 3 batsmen who have a good average, viz Graeme Smith, Shane Watson and Kamran Akmal(above 40) and similarly 3 bowlers have made it well to the records tally…but what is more important is that they are winning matches regularly, and it’s an irony that the most expensive teams are not performing so well….
The moral of the story is: Whenever you play any game, the game of cricket or the game of life, not only put on your best efforts, but also develop a team spirit, a helpful attitude, which will surely contribute to your success in some phase of life…..
‘ Try to win, and help others win’
Bbye….
luv u all….
urs only rishh..

Hello Friends

Hi to all lovely friends……                Nothing special to write today, have just come to say ‘hi’ to all u lovely friends out here… Although I haven’t met any of u, but the words in writing can better explain a person’s nature than words of mouth,as they say.. Have gone through many of ur blogs, and have found out that this saying is very correct.. many people keep praying to god about things what they don’t have, but don’t thank him about the things they already have, like good friends and good parents..I don’t have many of the things I need today, but still have many more of which I am deeply proud of.. Also, there can be many odds in a person, but the positive qualities and his feelings can be well judged by his writings… I have quite judged many of u… Also, blogging has become a gr8 timepass for me, a way to know myself better, and know many kinda beautiful things…
Know that some of u may find this post boring, but for many of others, cheers and thanx for ur lovely comments on my blog and for making a nice pastime for me….

                                                                         Take Care……
                                                                                     Luv u all,

Love Letter of a software engineer

Dear Ms. ABC,
Baby,
I ‘v seen you yesterday while surfing on local train platform and
realised that you are the only site I was browsing for. For long time,
I ‘v been lonely, trying to find a bug in my life and you can be a real
debugger for me now.

My life is just an uncompiled program
without you which never produces a executable code and hence is
useless. Your smile is so delightful which encourages me and gives
power to me equal to thousands of mainframes processing power. When you
looked at me last evening, I felt like all my program modules are
running smoothly and giving expected results. /* which I never
experienced before */.

With this letter, I just want to convey
you that, if we linked together, I’ll provide you all objects &
libraries necessary for human being to live a error free life. Also
don’t bother about the firewall which may be created by our parents as
I’ve strong hacking capabilities by which I’ll ultimately break their
security passwords and make them agree for our marriage.

I
anticipate that nobody is already logged in to your database so that my
connect script will fail. And its all certain that if this happened to
me, I will crash my system beyond recovery. Kindly interpret this
letter properly and grant me all privileges of your inbox.

Only yours,

XYZ

True story…must read

Hi friends… I received this e-mail today from a friend and found it inspiring, so I want to share it with u…

Read it….it’s a true story….

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Prof : So you believe
in God?

Student : Absolutely,
sir.

Prof : Is God good?

Student : Sure .

Prof : Is God
all-powerful?

Student : Yes.

Prof : My brother died
of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him.

Most of us would
attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn’t.

How is this God good
then? Hmm?

( Student is silent.)

Prof : You can’t
answer, can you?

Let’s start again,
young fellow. Is God good?

Student : Yes.

Prof : Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Prof : Where does Satan
come from?

Student : From…God…

Prof : That’s right.
Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student: Yes.

Prof : Evil is
everywhere, isn’t it? And God did make everything. Correct?

Student: Yes.

Prof : So who created
evil?

( Student does not
answer.)

Prof : Is there
sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness?

All these terrible
things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Prof : So, who created
them?

( Student has no
answer.)

Prof : Science says you
have 5 senses you use

to identify and
observe the world around you.

Tell me, son…Have you
ever seen God?

Student : No, sir.

Prof : Tell us if you
have ever heard your God?

Student : No, sir.

Prof : Have you ever
felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God?

Have you ever had any
sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m
afraid I haven’t.

Prof : Yet you still
believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Prof : According to
empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol,

science says your GOD
doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I
only have my faith.

Prof : Yes , Faith !
And that is the problem science has.

===============================================

Later the student is
asking the professor some questions

just as the professor
had been asking him:

Student: Professor, is
there such a thing as heat?

Prof : Yes.

Student : And is there
such a thing as cold?

Prof : Yes.

Student : No sir. There
isn’t.

(The lecture theatre
becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can
have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat,

white heat, a little
heat or no heat..

But we don’t have
anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no
heat,

but we can’t go any
further after that.

There is no such thing
as cold.

Cold is only a word we
use to describe the absence of heat.

We cannot measure cold.
Heat is energy.

Cold is not the
opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop
silence in the lecture hall.)

Student : What about
darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is
night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong
again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something.

You can have low light,
normal light, bright light, flashing light….

But if you have no
light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called darkness,

isn’t it? In reality,
darkness is n’t.

If it were you would be
able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Prof: So what is the
point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point
is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you
explain how?

Student : Sir, you are
working on the premise of duality.

You argue there is life
and then there is death,

a good God and a bad
God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite,

something we can
measure.

Sir, science can’t even
explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism,

but has never seen,
much less fully understood either one.

To view death as the
opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact

that death cannot exist
as a substantive thing.

Death is not the
opposite of life: just the absence of it.

Now tell me, Professor.
Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof : If you are
referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do .

Student : Have you ever
observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes
his head with a smile,

beginning to realize
where the argument is going.)

Student : Since no one
has ever observed the process of evolution at work

and cannot even prove

that this process is an
on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir?

Are you not a scientist
but a preacher?

(The class is in
uproar.)

Student : Is there
anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class breaks out
into laughter.)

Student : Is there
anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain,

felt it, touched or
smelt it?

No one appears to have
done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable,

demonstrable protocol,
science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir ,

how do we then trust
your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent.
The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof : I guess you’ll
have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it
sir… The link between man & god is FAITH.

That is all that keeps
things moving & alive.

WANT TO KNOW WHO THAT
STUDENT WAS?

NB: I believe you have
enjoyed the conversation…and if so…

you’ll probably want
your friends/colleagues

to enjoy the
same…won’t you? So do forward them to increase their knowledge…

this is a true story,
and the student was none other than
:
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

Take care…..bbye……….
