My Diwali Story

Hi Friends,

On this beautiful festival of lights, When my arms can't reach people close to my heart, I always hug them with my prayers.

"May all your wishes and dreams come true always!! HAPPY Diwali and a Great New Year (Gujarati New Year)"

I read a beautiful story today which I am sharing with all you as my diwlai gift to you my loving friends, I hope U like it too and plz send me you feed back.

With love and regards,

Vibhs

T his is one of the kindest things you may ever see..

It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey.. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, ‘When a Pet Dies..’ Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey &Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.

Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you

I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.

By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

Love,

God

Donno…….

Hi Friends,

Feeling empty, donno syndrome, if somebody comes to me and asks me why are you silent? I said nothing .donno .. Am a happy go lucky type person and always talking, laughing, joking around but something is changed in me.

I donno (Opps again) that one day I can be so quiet. Nothing seems wrong and still there is nothing within me, the emptiness is what I feel. I was in an illusion and was so happy being into it that I started living upto it and thought it is reality. Those who know me well tried to make me awake but I was so much in love with my dream and that beautiful world that I was getting annoyed with them. One fine day my mind was working faster that heart and I felt that something is not going on well in life and I need to know and than I asked my dream that is it real ..and it disappeared!

Huhhh sooooo painful to know that it was just a dream, my illusion. Again my loved one came to me and try consoling me "Oh dear it's just your innocence" but I know it was my foolishness to live in illusion.

You guys may think Oh wot happen with me ..but this is my current stage of mind. I am awake totally awake and with all those difficult, painful moment one thing is relaxing me that I am thoughtless .yes lil pinch of pain is getting on n off but I know I will come out natural soon.

Would not ask for any prayer, any wishes any more for myself ..May god bless you all.

Take care

With best wishes,

Vibhs

Make a difference

Hi friends,

After long break  (from own writing) I am here again with some of my thoughts. We all have read/hear this thought and somewhat way we appreciated it also

"Measuring our life by, what others do for us, may disappoint us. But if measured by, what we do for others, will add meaning to it. Make difference in others life."

Have we ever think more than our expectation ..answer comes yes & no, am not pointing anyone but I am just evaluating myself ..I feel blessed to have nice family loving parents & caring brother. Sister who is like Mother and a best friend and all other family member who always treated me like princess. Last week during free hours I was thinking that we feel happy when we get the treatment we want and when things would not, we feel sad/unhappy. What my concern is why we have limited ourself in such boundaries?? Because what are our expectations would not be satisfied 100% when it is incomplete you may not feel that peace, these will brings complains and stress to you. But if you think other way; what have u done others, even if you have not put all your attempts then also by trying to do even a little thing you will get the satisfaction of doing something for someone. That will give you satisfaction of your being on earth and this will give opposite person a sign of support & care that someone is there for him/her when they need. Someone may b waiting for U, Ur support!! Gv them ur hand  :)

You & I are small human being not a great saint, do at ur own level and feel the difference in other's life aswell as in yours. Nothing much but internal peace in soul will surely come/increase s ..I experience this and share with you.

Wish you all the happiness & peace

Love,

Vibhs

P.s.: I don't get the right title for this post, so it is "Make a difference" any suggestions!!??

The writing was posted by me earlier…

Tulsi Can Keep Swine Flu AWAY

Dear Friends,

In  continuation of my blog on swine flu on  10th August here are some more information on how to prevent from it. I personally follow taking Tulsi leaves  atleast there is no side effect and in our acient Ayurveda Tulsi is recommended for any kind of flu. I know I this blog is lil long but I just cant stop my self to share every information with u all.

Indian herb Tulsi can help keep swine flu away: Ayurvedic experts

Lucknow, May 27: Wonder herb Tulsi can not only keep the dreaded swine flu at bay but also help in fast recovery of an afflicted person, Ayurvedic practitioners claim.

“The anti-flu property of Tulsi has been discovered by medical experts across the world quite recently. Tulsi improves the body’s overall defence mechanism including its ability to fight viral diseases. It was successfully used in combating Japanese Encephalitis and the same theory applies to swine flu,” Dr U K Tiwari, a herbal medicine practitioner says.

Apart from acting as a preventive medicine in case of swine flu, Tulsi can help the patient recover faster.

“Even when a person has already contracted swine flu, Tulsi can help in speeding up the recovery process and also help in strengthening the immune system of the body,” he claims.

Dr Bhupesh Patel, a lecturer at Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar is also of the view that Tulsi can play an important role in controlling swine flu.  “Tulsi can control swine flu and it should be taken in fresh form. Juice or paste of at least 20-25 medium sized leaves should be consumed twice a day on an empty stomach.”

This increases the resistance of the body and, thereby, reduces the chances of inviting swine flu,” believes Patel.  - Bureau Report

Also attaching list of Govt hospitals, may be useful for anyone.

Will keep updating you on it.

Take care and stay healthy "Be cautious and not Panic"

Love,

Vibhs

Instead this e-mail is fact based which will clear some of inhibition about this disease.

I have confirmed about the truth of the information in the below e-mail, by speaking to the undersigned doctor Deepak Purohit who initiated it.

Requesting to read the below and circulate this to all, please.

Subject: FW: H1N1 FLU :Stages of symptoms

FYI …

————————————————————————-

Dear Friends,

I agree with you that swine flu awareness is needed, but there is no need to be panicky and join the publicity propaganda carried out by media and others which acts as a vehicle to spread misconception than to spread scientific information.

These are few facts about swine flu when discussed with the leading epidemiologists.

1) Swine flu, that is H1N1 flu is not new, first detected in 1987

2) Infective stage of flue is 5 days, 1 day before and 4 days after onset of symptoms

3) The best way to prevent it spreading is asking patient having symptoms of flu like fever cough and running nose to take rest at home for 4 days so he does not transmit it

4) Masks are of limited value if any, in this disease, it can spread through droplets on your skin, through contact etc, and I have seen that the masks in Pune are worn as fashion statement, while walking on road today morning I saw people wearing masks coming out for a morning walk with their dogs!, many wearing masks around their necks, and so on, infact these masks shall act as the vehicles to carry the virus, instead, avoiding crowded places or cinema halls or malls where airconditioners are on, is advisable, because you get recirculated air, where the virus density multiplies

5)Death after H1N1 flu is not common, infact infections like measles is taking toll of thousands more every year, and we are oblivious of the facts. Swine flu is being blown out of proportion by media trying to create hysteria among lay people.

6) Fever accompanied by respiratory distress, should be immediately notified which is likely to be a complication of H1N1 flu

7)The mortality is less than .01 percent of those affected, that means may be one in 10,000 affected is likely to suffer the life loss.

8) If you remember, 2 years ago SARS was blown out of proportion, what happened? Humans develop immunity to the virus, the same is going to happen, we develop immunity in due course of time, the virus is in the air, you can not stop it, our body is already developing the immunity so nothing to panic.

We need to take care of children and elderly who have less immunity and do not let them go to crowded places that is all .

WE MUST START THIS CAMPAIGN OF NOT TO BE AFRAID OF THIS FLU AND LET YOUR DAILY WORK CONTINUE AS NORMAL, NO MASKS FOR ORDINARY CITIZENS, HEALTH CARE WORKERS OR SPECIFIC EXPOSED TO LOT OF CROWDED ENVIRONMENTS MAY BE BENEFITTED, NOT PROVEN.

I am amazed to hear that people are selling masks of RS 20 each which are available to less than Rupee 1 in the market.

See who is getting benefitted?

Please spread the scientific info, do not join the band wagon and stick to science, that should be the order of the day.

All About Swine Flu : Symptoms, Precautions, Treatment

Although the name ’swine flu’ brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans don’t have any immunity to it. That is what made it more likely that it would become a pandemic virus (have the ability to cause a global outbreak) because it could easily spread from person-to-person.

The Swine flu has been compared to other similar types of influenza virus in terms of mortality: “in the US it appears that for every 1000 people who get infected, about 40 people need admission to hospital and about one person dies”.

Symptoms of swine flu infections can include:

* fever, which is usually high, but unlike seasonal flu, is sometimes absent

* cough

* runny nose or stuffy nose

* sore throat

* body aches

* headache

* chills

* fatigue or tiredness, which can be extreme

* diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes, but more commonly seen than with seasonal flu

Signs of a more serious swine flu infection might include pneumonia and respiratory failure.

Swine Flu High Risk Groups -

Swine flu high risk groups, people who are thought to be at risk for serious, life-threatening infections, are a little different and can include:

* pregnant women

* people with chronic medical problems, such as chronic lung disease, like asthma, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and immunosuppression

* children and adults with obesity

Precautions to keep swine flu at bay -

The deadly Swine Flu has reached the Indian shores following the global outbreak and now, claimed one life. However, Swine Flu is certainly one of those diseased where an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Here are five tips for you to keep away from the pandemic.

1. Wash your hands frequently

Use the antibacterial soaps to cleanse your hands. Wash them often, for at least 15 seconds and rinse with running water.

2. Get enough sleep

Try to get 8 hours of good sleep every night to keep your immune system in top flu-fighting shape.

3. Drink sufficient water

Drink 8 to10 glasses of water each day to flush toxins from your system and maintain good moisture and mucous production in your sinuses.

4. Boost your immune system

Keeping your body strong, nourished, and ready to fight infection is important in flu prevention. So stick with whole grains, colorful vegetables, and vitamin-rich fruits.

5. Keep informed

The government is taking necessary steps to prevent the pandemic and periodically release guidelines to keep the pandemic away. Please make sure to keep up to date on the information and act in a calm manner.

Treatment -

If a person becomes sick with swine flu, antiviral drugs can make the illness milder and make the patient feel better quicker. For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms). The U.S. CDC recommends the use of Tamiflu (oseltamivir) or Relenza (zanamivir) for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with swine influenza viruses; however, the majority of people infected with the virus make a full recovery without requiring medical attention or antiviral drugs.

Vaccination -

WHO does not expect the swine flu vaccine to be widely available until the end of 2009, noting that current production “yield” was only about half as much as expected and would cause timeline delays. There is also concern that countries which produce vaccines, 70 percent of which are in Europe, may delay sending swine flu vaccines to other countries as they may come under “tremendous pressure to protect their own citizens first,” note some experts.

Many countries are planning full blown large scale vaccination camps by the end of the year.

BUT REMEMBER THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO DO….

Do not Panic

“Portrait of a Friend”

I can’t give solutions to all of life’s problems, doubts,
or fears. But I can listen to you, and together we will
search for answers.

I can’t change your past with all it’s heartache and pain,
nor the future with its untold stories.
But I can be there now when you need me to care.

I can’t keep your feet from stumbling.
I can only offer my hand that you may grasp it and not fall.

Your joys, triumphs, successes, and happiness are not mine;
Yet I can share in your laughter.

Your decisions in life are not mine to make, nor to judge;
I can only support you, encourage you,
and help you when you ask.

I can’t prevent you from falling away from friendship,
from your values, from me.
I can only pray for you, talk to you and wait for you.

I can’t give you boundaries which I have determined for you,
But I can give you the room to change, room to grow,
room to be yourself.

I can’t keep your heart from breaking and hurting,
But I can cry with you and help you pick up the pieces
and put them back in place.

I can’t tell you who you are.
I can only love you and be your friend.
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP DAY!!!!!

Matrimony proposal…

Dear Friend,

This one is a forward msg but worth sharing with you alllll………….!!!

If you are that girl what will be your reaction……..please dont ask me I fell down from my chair when I read it first time

love,
Vibhs

******************************************************

…This is a reply to a matrimonial ad in a Bangalore paper

Madam:

I am an olden young uncle living only with myself in Bangaloru. Having  seen your advertisement for marriage purposes, I decided to press myself on you and hope you will take me nicely.

I am a soiled son from inside Karnataka. I am nice and big, six foot tall and six inches long. My body is filled with hardness, as because I am working hardly. I am playing hardly also. Especially I like cricket and I am a good batter and I am fast baller. Whenever I come running in for balling, other batters start running. Everybody is scared of my rapid balls that bounce a lot.

I am very nice man. I am always laughing loudly at everyone. I am jolly. I am gay. Especially ladies, they are saying I am nice and soft. I am always giving respect to the ladies. I am always allowing ladies to get on top. That is how nice I am. I am not having any bad habits. I am not drinking and I am not sucking tobacco or anything else. Every morning I am going to the gym and I am pumping like anything. Daily I am pumping and pumping. If you want you can come and see how much I am pumping the dumb belles in the gym.

I am having a lot of money in my pants and my pants is always open for you. I am such a nice man, but still I am living with myself only. What to do? So I am taking things into my own hands everyday. That is why I am pressing myself on you, so that you will come in my house and take my things into your hand.

If you are marrying me madam, I am telling you, I will be loving you very hard every day. In fact, I will stop pumping dumb belles in the gym.

If you are not marrying me madam and not coming to me, I will press you and press you until you come. So I am placing my head between your nicely smelling feet and looking up with lots of hope. I am waiting very badly for your reply and I am stiff with anticipation.

Expecting soon,

Yours and only yours,

Rangasamy
