2 held for allegedly raping 20-yr-old student The headline blares at me from my monitor and i am in a state of indescribable agony. I am filled with rage of how this keeps happening in our capital and we are so accustomed to the news that it is no longer news. I like everyone else feel uncomfortable to read the headline and even more difficult go through the article.

But what churned my bile and burnt my heart is the viewpoint of the readers of the article. There is one
Ravi Joshi of Mumbai who has the following to say
”Finely she got what she wanted to do by going to night clubs , by wearing short dresses, by speaking lye to her father/mother while going to club , this is all western culture style , socho agar wo club me nahi jati, har agar ke piche ek magar hoya hai….congratulations to her”
Another Mr. Kapil Paniker has this to say
”Girl is equally responsible in this case.Going alone to some unknown persons house which she met in a disc , thats really absurd.”
Mr. Joshi and Mr. Kapil….are you really serious when you write something like that as a response to such a heinous crime….that the victim is responsible for the crime. While i agree she should have shown more restraint and caution before befriending someone, does she deserve what has happened to her? And you in your screwed up mental state congratulate her….
Hidden in the fine print of what these morons have written is the root cause of why these keep happening in India and Delhi in particular. It is the public apathy and belief that the victim was wrong and so she deserves it.
Why did she wear short dress….Well the article never mentioned that she was in a short dress but it was assumed that she would have been in a skimpy dress and enticed the guy so he raped her. She deserved it because she wanted it…..God have mercy!! Where is the logic….
This is all western culture….i have travelled the world. The beaches of Miami and France are adorned with women in beautiful bikinis…i have not heard of Alfa male going and raping them because they are dressed so…so why blame the western culture. This is inherently Indian culture where the men think it is ok to rape….and the system lets them get away with it. Both the judiciary and the social systems are responsible and share the blame. I have no comment on the political system because I have given up hope on it longtime ago.
I also wonder why can’t a girl go to a pub or a disco dressed in what she believes is appropriate and have a good time just like her male compatriots without being ambushed by sex starved males.

Long vacant corridors, gloomy underworld
Antediluvian bench, serpentine walls,
away from the crowd of the heathen city,
which preys on souls, my sanity,
I search for peace, alone, on the benches of afterworld
Iniquitous banks, bizarre politics
Worthless paper, wretched stocks
Another day in the cellars of glass and steel
I grasp my soul, my slippery eel
Here I crouch in peace, alone, my own narcotic fix
Two lone tykes, shepherd behind,
Saccharine demons, devil incarnates
Cacophony from the entrails of blazing hell
Cracking my soul, my oyster shell
As I watch in horror, alone, with my thoughts entwined
Lone shepherd, dory eyes
Absonant love, wanton pride,
Watching his herd and the execrable menace
The Silent stare, his only penance
There I lie aghast, alone, under the twilight skies
Solitary smile, mistress of pleasure
Bitter happiness, from unruliness
Sheepdog in love with the amuck sheep
Solitary tear, soul deep
I wonder in awe, alone, with my mute zither (musical instrument)
With a long sigh I call my foe,
“Wherefore hast thou serv’d me so? Was I thy foe ?
How then have I deserved this of thee? I comprehend it not!
that thine heard shouldst rob me of my solitude
The fault lieth with none but thee
For heard is as good as the shepherd is”
The Shepherd gave a somber smile,
“I am thy slave by the act of guilt,
Thou shouldst punish me as thine wisdom pleads
Pardon the lads, the fault lieth with none but me,
The tyranny of their sorrow ist their life afore
Fate hasth robed their mother,
I just had to have her buried
Three moths is all I have before I meet her sanguine soul
as thinkest I to do whatfore, thou shalt let their spirits live”
two lone tykes, angel eyes
walking with their Shepard
on these benches of the underworld
As my eyes brim in horror, I am but myself all alone

Love…Can we define it…….
A deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person, such as that arising from kinship, recognition of attractive qualities, or a sense of underlying oneness.
Would that be it… A single sentence to define the complex emotion that we call love. i often wonder if there is anything sui generus about it. Is it as comlpex as we are all made to beleive, or is the exhilaration just a reaction to what we beleive we should be feeling, based on our chemera about the whole thing.
A scientific explanation of the entire thing is a set of chemical reactions inside our human body which are triggered bacause of an external stimuli. Though the learned men of science have been able to explain these compleax organic reactions they have been unable to draw the equation that determines what triggers these reactions?
(go through the link there is a funny explanation of the same)
After going through few other sites which were of the similar type i started to wonder “hey is it that mechanical, if it is why do we look for it like a holy grail and always are disspointed that we have never found it.
In the few years i have been on this planet i have met a lot of people who claimed they have found the love of their life. I feel happy for them at that moment even though i find the same people looking for a new love a few years later. Now that confuses me for i was made to beleive Love is one time phenomena. So…..what is it…..how do i identify that what i am feeling is love.
Or is it worth all the trouble, should i be thinking at all?

In the last few decades, there has been a wave of cultural changes that has prompted the existence of divergent value and belief systems. As a result, it is commonplace to hear people lobbying for lofty social ideals such as “tolerance”, “freedom of choice”, “equality” and “diversity”. These concepts would appear to be at the root of familiar statements such as “whatever is true for me may not be true for you” and “that may be your truth, not mine”. As a common denominator to these notions, there seems to be an undercurrent of making morals and truth all a matter of personal preference. On the surface, this ideology appears to be the pragmatic approach in establishing common ground between people of different belief systems. However, this philosophy, known as moral relativism and tolerance, is inherently flawed. When objective truth is suppressed and labeled intolerant, no moral law exists, and chaos and the destruction of society subsequently follow since people trust and act upon their own feelings instead. It is this willing ignorance of reality has caused today’s generation to become unaware of the parameters that define mature, responsible behavior. Whereas in previous generations the limits of decency were known,”Today’s young conservatives grew up when sleeping around was no longer a sign of rebellion. It was the accepted norm. Using drugs was no longer a means of expanding consciousness. It was simple recreation. Relativism wasn’t an abstract moral theory, it was the unquestioned assumption in most classroom instruction”
Proponents of moral relativism and tolerance suggest that a person’s lifestyle is inexorably tied to who they are as a human being. It is mistakenly believed that in order to truly tolerate someone, one must accept them as a person and their lifestyle. Otherwise, the insidious label “intolerant bigot” is applied. If this could be written as an equation, it would read “Who I am=What I do” . Generally speaking, this ideology is used to justify moral relativism on the grounds of cultural identity and association. However, this is diabolically opposed to the traditional definition of tolerance, which is defined as “to recognize and respect others’ beliefs, practices etc. without sharing them” . The bottom line is that a person and their beliefs are not inseparable. Implied in this definition is the personal privilege to outright disagreement and disapproval to an extent that a legal line has not been crossed by either party. Unfortunately, the “Who I am=What I do” precept has created a culture in which people can do the most outrageous things due to “cultural reasons” and then claim some type of discrimination or injury to their freedom of expression if objections are raised
The effects of Tolerence on North American society have been staggering. The worst effect is that this ideology is the root cause of the disintegration of the family. Most social commentators regard this recent phenomenon as the ultimate source of all the problems society is currently facing.
As used today,”moral relativism” and “tolerance” are very misleading terms that are at the heart of a move to redefine good and bad behavior, a cultural change historically proven to destroy the world’s greatest empires. The Romans are a typical example, as they collapsed from within due to corruption and moral decay which was tolerated by individuals and society at large.
