  1. let me add here the last para of a remarkable judgment (which should make us all repose our trust in the higher judiciary) on the husain case delivered by justice sanjay kaul (a kashmiri pandit) of the delhi high court: “A liberal tolerance of a different point of view causes no damage. It means only a greater self restraint. Diversity in expression of views whether in writings, paintings or visual media encourages debate. A debate should never the shut out. ‘I am right’ does not necessarily imply ‘You are
wrong’. Our culture breeds tolerance- both in thought and in actions. I have penned down this judgment with this favourent hope that it is a prologue to a broader thinkingand greater tolerance for the creative field. A painter at 90 deserves to be in his home — painting his canvass!”

  2. thanks VT, for your comments on the Husain post. everyone kept quiet when that old man was being hounded. and everyone crowded around to issue the mandatory condolence messages - each blaming the other for Husain’s forced exile. inside, they must have been relieved that his canvas had been left bare forever. sincerely, dilip

  7. Sahiti Bharadwaj says:

“My point is something else, from what I read here, I realize that Gayatri is
just a synonym for a Physics concept. It is just another word. What exactly does it mean? Why doesn’t anyone explain that?”

Precisely!!! I am eager to find the same. The truth is lost in translation :-) The bloated egos of the keepers of the knowledge have fudged the concepts beyond recognition, if i may say so !!!

    7
  8. Sahiti Bharadwaj says:

The belief that there is one essential power (or energy or something) that has the

ultimate control. Is this what Gaytri is?

I guess so! Even i am still learning. But i understand it as the ultimate power of creation. At one place i read that “Gayatri” is the source of Sun’s energy. The entire solar system is dependent on Sun for sustenance and Sun must surely depend on sth else…logically! Gayatri is said to be that source…by definition. Gayatri Mantra is said to be the formula for harnessing that Gayatri-energy, the way the sun is doing now. That tranformed energy of Sun is referred as “Savithri”.

  9. Sahiti Bharadwaj says:

“”anything that is not living automatically comes outside the realm of Gayatri.”

there is nothing that is not living or not pulsating with life or consciousness..only the amount of life varies and so there is nth that is outside the realm of Gayatri.

life may or may not exist in the form of humans else where…it may exist in other forms. They do have minerals, gases..forms of “life” we understand below us on other planets or they MAY have other forms of life better than us, which we do not understand!!! Just a possibility there with so many galaxies, stars and planets :-)

  10. Sahiti Bharadwaj says:

you say - But life, as we know it at his point of time, exists only on this planet.

[sahiti] It depends on what you define as “life”. As per Indian science,

everything is alive. Science NOW agrees that even plants have life. The seers say that the stone or minerals are also alive! They do have nucleus and electrones/protons rotating round them..which means they are moving/pulsating. they only have lesser amount of “life” or “consciousness” which we cannot perceive.

a crude ex given is a women cannot give birth to one baby and another stone or piece of wood..ie one living and one non-living. (we dont call a still born baby - “non-living”) Similarly, EVERYTHING has come from ONE point/source!! What ever comes from the same source should have similer properties…
