The Top Five Male Turn-Ons

While one man’s heaven may be
another man’s hell, there are a few dating basics that are virtually
guaranteed to be turn-ons for most men. Here are the top five.

1) SEX
A
man finds sex a turn-on ' who’d have thought? Despite their stereotype,
when it comes to sex, men want quality. More specifically, they want
you to want them. They’d like you to share the responsibility for
making the first move, to show them you find them attractive. And
remember, a good sex life is rooted in communication, so get talking.

2) ATTRACTIVENESS
More
tales of the glaringly obvious, right? But while everyone’s ideas of
what is and isn’t attractive may vary, a man always appreciates it when
a woman has made ' and continues to make ' an effort to look good. He
doesn’t always need to see you in your Sunday best ' in fact, in many
cases, just a well-fitting pair of jeans and a nice top will do the
trick ' but the more pride you have in your appearance, the more he’ll
have in it, too. This isn’t an excuse to compromise your personal
style, but make a point to ask him what he thinks of what you’re
wearing, find out what he thinks of your hairstyle and get some
feedback on your new perfume. And make sure you insist on a truthful
reply.

3) LOVE
Men
may appear to have an aversion to the word itself, but at the end of
the day, they want plenty of l-o-v-e, too. He longs to see it in your
eyes, hear it in your words and feel it in your touch: that unspoken '
OK, and spoken, too ' message that he is your one and only. Text it,
email it and say it without saying it. He may not show it, but he’ll be
turned on by the sentiment, and he’ll surely take it all in.

4) CONVERSATION
Again,
while this may be contrary to popular belief, a man wants to know what
you think. Whether it’s politics, dinner, the cinema, TV or whatever, a
man is turned on by a woman with an opinion ' someone to spar with,
someone with whom to exchange ideas. While looks certainly can go a
long way, conversation will keep him hooked and interested and will
feed back into your beauty. If you can add a witty comment or two to
your conversation, it’s the ultimate double whammy ' interesting AND
funny. Not for nothing do personals always list “GSOH” (”good sense of
humor”) high up there among the qualities that men are looking for in a
woman.

5) TRUST
The
freedom that a man feels when you truly trust him works like an
aphrodisiac. Just because he’s discovered the wonder of you doesn’t
mean that he’s abandoned all interest in his former passions; he’ll
need to feel that he’s still able to, say, enjoy those poker nights
with the boys ' without the dark shadow of mistrust clouding his “me
time.” Whether it’s a hobby or a passion, let him indulge himself ' and
look happy about it, too. Similarly, he needs to feel that he can trust
you. He should be confident in the knowledge that wherever your lives
take you and whomever you’re sharing your life with outside your
relationship, that relationship remains sacred. Jealousy is like a
fungus that can eat away at the foundations of a relationship; be sure
to kill it before it takes hold.
